That was the most painfull read ever, you just managed to stab and twist that knife in the wound... I was angry, scared and tearful throughout this chapter... oh well done you have talent!
I loved the Camlann reference, it sends shivers down my spine to this day. "How Mordred was Slain by Arthur, and How by Him Arthur was Hurt to the Death",

I really enjoyed this, thank you so much for an interesting and so far unique plot twist! I've read soooo many with Merlin just being kidnapped and tortured, but I quite liked how he was basically tortured by the visions of the future. I thought you kept Merlin quite in character as well, which was a nice change.

And oh god you had good grammar, it makes me happy.

I'll be sure to check the sequel!

You've managed to weave in so much of the more-popular-version of the legends very very well into the story (a la Green Knight, Camlann, Merlin being wise etc) My favourite bit was Merlin trying to change the end by looking into the past. And how you handled a/g/l was perfect! Especially Gwen only having a vague sense of what she saw. I only wished that the TPTB were brave enough to insinuate a possible betrayal (which they clearly didn't). I know it was not intended, but I still see my otp merthur in all of this :D

They did manage to get him to drink, and through much coaxing and patience, as if feeding a small child, to swallow a few mouthfuls of food. But apart from that, it was as though Arthur had brought a stranger home to their midst, a figure who might have been carved from wood, or stuffed with cloth.

That was a truly great story. I loved the idea and the plot and how the characters were presented, beautiful (and felt so bad for Merlin...) It really is baffling how this doesn't have loads more reviews, but still a great read.

Going to go off and read the sequel :D

Lancelot needs to shut up. Man, I hate him and his sappiness. If you want her, fight for her, win or lose then take it like a man. Or don't fight for her, but then stop yammering on, get over her or leave! I hate him for making the betrayal possible!

FANTASTIC story! I really, really enjoyed this. It was fantastically written, and totally believable. One of my favourite lines was when the dragon turned to Lancelot and said, "And you will be remembered also. But for different reasons."

what was the bit about Gwaine and the green guy? I cant think what that is. I keep going "Lady of the Green Kirtle," but now i'm just getting Narnia and Camelot confused. What ever. I'm not well today - I'm allowed to get them mixed up. :P

Anyway - fantastic story. I really enjoyed the whole thing.
