|Reviews for For Fallen Comrades|
| NatNicole chapter 1 . 8/6
This is amazingly written, but sad too.
| 10th Squad 3rd Seat chapter 1 . 5/23
Figures the 2 of them would go down fighting.
| Bumblebee Madness chapter 1 . 11/20/2015
This is so sad to read after the Fifth Act ;_;
| 0-Mighty Bob -0 chapter 1 . 7/30/2015
Short and sweet. Good thing he got Hojo. So many fics focus on trying to kill Sephiroth ( who apparently didn't really deserve it before he went kookoo for Cocoa Puffs. Afterwards, yeah he had it coming ) when really Hojo is the evil that needs to be put down hard. Guy's responsible for like damn near everything that's messed up ( well that and the folks running ShinRa being total bastards ) in the games timeline. Hollander could stand to be put down too.
| Chimebelle chapter 1 . 5/19/2015
What more can I say? This oneshot is frankly one of my favorites. The story, friendship, and tragedy.. and the residual emotions it leaves behind! Amazing.
| So1Thought chapter 1 . 5/8/2015
How they aren't even grown up yet and everything that happened would never actually happen and argh this is amazing.
| MrEmperor chapter 1 . 1/19/2015
Very plausible. Short but satisfying.
| Rhavis chapter 1 . 10/21/2014
... now you made me sad T.T
| TheOneWhoRulesThemAll chapter 1 . 10/9/2014
This was . . . depressing. And short. Depressingly short. And yet somehow all the more emotive for it.
Well done. I can visualise it, sympathise with Angeal and Genesis and can't help but go NO! Poor Cloud. Poor Sephiroth. Poor everyone really (apart from Hojo - no one will ever miss that guy).
Thank you for the short yet moving drabble. I loved it.
| KellieAM chapter 1 . 3/1/2014
| TOWTWUKER chapter 1 . 2/14/2014
wonder if tifa has been born yet...
cloud could be her daddy...
| illuminios chapter 1 . 6/23/2013
That's... sad. So anticlimactic...
| Iryerris chapter 1 . 4/25/2013
Much as I would like to see how this would end, we all know how it ends. Cloud's quite possibly the strongest being alive in this universe at the moment, Genesis and Angeal (as much as I love the two of them) are very likely going to become a bloody smear on the floor, the world is saved, and Zack may die. Again.
| FullMentalPanic chapter 1 . 3/10/2013
So I haven't read The Fifth Act, although I probably will at some point, but I'm still interested by what you did with this. I like how you really play up the fact that Sephiroth wasn't really evil yet and just this newly minted First who didn't have anywhere near the experience he did when he started trying to destroy the world. The Loveless quote was such a Genesis thing to think and was also really apt for describing Cloud, it worked quite nicely. I liked how you touched on the rivalry between Genesis and Sephiroth, and how it's a big enough part of Genesis' life that it's one of the first things he thinks of when Sephiroth gets killed. It's kind of weird to see Cloud as this unstoppable, although short, force that Shinra, SOLDIER, and Angeal and Genesis are REALLY unlikely to beat. The line about the battle lasting less than a minute was really good, it shows how high above Sephiroth that Cloud was at this point, but realistically, life and death throwdowns often don't take that long. No one's trying to put on a show, they're just going to go for the kill. "And the dreams of our fallen comrades." This line was great too because it showed how Sephiroth probably did have some fairly pure wishes he wanted to see realized in his life, and that the chance of that happening has been snuffed out. Plus all the other people who ended up getting killed trying to protect whatever from Cloud or trying to avenge Sephiroth. That Sephiroth was uncorrupted and admirable enough to inspire friendship and friends willing to lay down their lives for his sake really shows what kind of person he was at this point in his life, AND highlights that at this point he really didn't deserve whatever death Cloud gave him and casts Strife in the role of immaculately powerful and senseless murderer. I liked the perspective.
| Cloud Ex-SOLDIER chapter 1 . 2/3/2013
Interesting. Short and sweet.
A shame this oneshot didn't evolve into a proper story.
