Just watched this movie for the millionth time and hoped there might be a few good stories to read. So glad there are! This was lovely. Such a nice feel to it. You really nail the atmosphere of living in a small town.
| SemiZealotish chapter 1 . 5/7/2011
This is adorable! And the pairing is way better than the weird soon-to-be-siblings junior/icebox that the movie leaves you with. Thanks for sharing.

I really liked this story! Good writing with great detail. Loved how sweet the relationship with the characters began building. Hope you continue this one. I enjoyed it!

okay when i read the summary i was soo sure it was about the o'shea brothers...to say the least i was put off and did NOT want to go anywhere near it, but i have a horrendous curiousity, and that is how i fell upon this masterpiece!
I love the small connection you started between them, from the way you write it seems like they had been friends for a while before anything slightly more came into their minds. I'm glad you didn't create some god-awful excuse or statement that spike no longer speaks in third person and has changed for the better or some other crap...the reader can just tell, and he hasn't REALLY changed, just a little and only around Ice box.
AH! its soo cute .
but seriously i think you should hint that it's becky and spike on the hill in your summary...because the only person to have mentioned the hill in the movie was Becky's dad and he was talking about the time when HE and HIS BROTHER raced...so yeah... *shudders*
anyway i love this and you should really write more on these two, i think you have a better hang of it than anyone else who had written these so far!
