| The Ghostly Minion chapter 32 . 7/20
It was a really nice 'fix it before it starts' Harmony story.
Granted, thee were some continuity problems, a certain lack of exposition in places, but that was all part of her style.
More important and most important to her real fans was the imagination, the drawing together of themes, the willingness to let the reader finish the tale in their minds.
A fitting story for the 1,100th review. You shall be missed.

A very imaginative way to remove those hideous scars. A neat idea for Luna to have had.
Of course, the main theme of this is the solving of the 'sixth year conundrum'. To have it be charms this time is a different twist on things.
Harry at least starts things by kissing her. Even though Hermione didn't break free, (though she thinks it would have stopped her from being raped by Ron later that day) the stage is set. I don't think the pacing is too terse, although a bit more exposition would have been nice. Still, the arrest and trial worked fine.
The ending however could have used some more. First, what happened to Hermione's parents? If there was a reason they weren't retrieve, it would have been nice to know.
Second, the complete separation with the BWW seems a bit extreme. Certainly Luna, Pomfrey, Daphne and the Patils, and maybe Neville are people they would have wished to continue to know.
Still, an interesting contribution to this interesting collection.

i kind of like the primes for this story and i was wonder (with your permission) if i may write my own story around it, I have about six stories i'm writing and i'm to shy to post them yet but if i do i wouldn't wish to take an idea without proper credit
i don't even know if you check this page anymore i know if i were in your shoes it would be hard for me to be one here
thank you for at least listening

I loved that!

i don't know. If you are going to bash Hermione and make her into such and ignorant bitch then you might as well stick with it. Changing it like you did felt phony and false.

I think that this is one your better one shots. I really enjoyed this one.
| Araytigre chapter 32 . 2/11
I Loved all of these little snippets, drabbles, ideas, whatever you want to call them, I enjoyed them all, even the sad ones. With me being a major Harmony fan, these worked out great. Yes, there are several 'ships out there that are good too (most any NOT including Ginny, lol), including various Harem fics. Thank You. TTFN

My favourite part of this is how you say so much with so little - the comment about Hermione checking her purse to see what she can afford to buy the kids tells us that despite her undoubted intelligence she's been sucked into the poverty of the rest of the Weasley clan. Because of Ron's laziness? Because she's muggle-born and unable to get the opportunities for decent, paid work? Because she's married to someone your other one-shots have shown to be a pure-blood bigot and he won't LET her get a good job? Whatever the reason that one comment sums up how crappy her life is because of her choices.
Meanwhile Harry and Luna - the romantic love may only be one way but they've made it work at least and seem happy together.

I've said it before, but it bears repeating; For Harry, ANYONE hurting Hermione gets no mercy! That goes especially for people who should know better.
Is Ron hugely OOC here? Not really. He and Hermione got off on the wrong foot (Hermione is certainly partly to blame). It was clear that Hermione was going to be part of a package deal with Harry after the troll.
Could Ron be that bigoted, that hateful and even that good with potions? Have to answer yes to all three.
Despite Arthur in cannon seemingly to be a friend of non-magicals, when you look it's really thinly disguised condescension. The one time he sees the Grangers, he he acts as if he see exotic animals. If the non-magical 'expert' in the Ministry can't pronounce words like 'electricity' properly, what does that say about his real opinions? No reason to think Ron wouldn't have picked that up and ran with it.
As far as potions are concerned, he might have tricked Molly into supplying him or helping him make them. Molly in canon never seems to be the sharpest blade in the box.
Harry knows what he has to do to save Hermione and if he has any regrets, he hide them well. On feels that Harry would be OK with eternal punishment so long as Hermione is safe and happy in life.
Once in Australia, Harry never makes a misstep. I'd have been happy with them not being Dentists, but something else, but no matter.

A neat little soul bond fic that really didn't need the clunky framing story, but then, who am I to complain?
It takes only a bit of thought to realize that the canonical part transformed Krum had the potential for some real tragedy. Given a with-it and in love Harry, his reaction was predicable. It's again your 'Prime Directive': Harry will do anything to keep Hermione safe. Also, Merlin help anyone who does hurt her.
One shortcoming is how this realization of his title helped Harry and Hermione vanquish Voldemort.
All in all, a good story.

A good redo story that could have been made into a multi-chapter story very easily.
All the premises here work for me. From the hideous discriminatory laws, to the time machine, to discovering that their love had been tampered with by the Weasleys.
With some foreknowledge, the defeat of Voldemort was much less horrific and cost many fewer innocent lives.
Their little game of bluff with Kingsley and the Wizengamot they played was humorous. It proved again the ide that Purebloods are 'dumb by breed', to paraphrase Ted Williams. And credit an assist to Ollivander.
Good Job. Four Stars!

This is a nice, non-angsty story, fluffy even. What happened? 8)

This is a cute idea and you made it into a decent 'Away from the crazy world of wizards' story.
Given that the reaction of the people in Hogwarts is so insensitive (McGonagall should have done something immediately) their choice seems to be rational.
Still, everything considered and the role Harry has in BWW, you would have thought there would have been some attempt (perhaps through Gringotts) to contact them. Something like that could have meant that they could have had tutors and finished qualifying as magicals, even if they didn't want to live in that world. Especially as the prospect of having magical children is a virtual certainty.
By having her parents be magic-haters, they really can be on their own.
So, a few minor holes aside, another good 'Odd Idea'.

This is an interesting concept. Anyone who might dare take you to task for 'bashing' Hermione is not thinking at all. Nothing Hermione did was in the least malicious. Hermione is only at fault for trusting in Tonk's discretion and for not taking the surveillance spheres. Even the latter can be explained as being due to her shock and fear at being pregnant and wanting to get as far away from Harry as fast as possible.
The only real shortcoming is that the resolution is far too pat, far too easy. Better would be:
1. Harry is arrested after vanquishing Voldemort for rape. In the trial (and yes, we'll assume that he gets a real trial and is not 'Sirius Blacked'), Harry trestifies under viritiserum that he never raped Hermione.
In her testimony, the existence of the spheres come out, corraborated by Tonks. They are found and played, exonerating Harry. The leak is found and after a civil trial, Harry recieve enomous damages from Tonks, the leak and the Prophet, also getting joint custody of Marie and full visitation rights.
Eventually, in a few years, rearing Marie together leads to the restoration of their friendship. By the time Marie's of age to begin her magical education Harry and Hermione have come to realized that they indeed love each other. Having returned to Australia, they marry and have other children. Their children never see the insides of Hogwarts.
2. Action follows the plot, BUT Harry and Hermione sue Tonks, the leak, the Prophet and the Ministry through the ICW and again receive exoneration and huge damages.
Either of these alternatives would work better. Along with others, I feel this would have been much better fleshed out as a ten chapter or so story.

Harry and Hermione found themselves the cubs of a true Gryffindor lioness in this one-shot!
It is refreshing to see McGonagall finally do what she should have done in canon and step up for her cubs, even when it ran counter to Dumbledore's plans.
Her takedown of Vernon was a true, hilarious classic. Also wonderful was her drive to use all the time gained by putting Albus into St. Mungo's to get Harry and Hermione wed and out of his reach.
A pity that Richard and Helen hate magic and their daughter in this story, but it is not really outside of canon, considering how little we know of them.
A Weasley family feeding from the Potter trough with both hands, goes far to explain how OOC Ron seems. In context, his attitude is not surprising. As immature as he is in canon, his letting the cat out of the bag is to be expected too.
Nice way to off Voldemort, and the ending is very nice too, epecially the end.
