Yes i must agree with you that Alezander is full of himself. And this totally capture that aspect of Alexander. -_- Didn't you just cringed when he was all happy and kept saying how great he was? -_- yeah, too much ego in oneself is turly not an apealing characteristic. I wonder how Hephaestion live with such a bastard? _~ Hephaestion must have been a saint to go through life with Alexander no matter the great love they shared between them. o

Very interesting story about the burning of Persepolis. I know that within the last few years the tide has turned from Ptolomy's Thais being fingered as the culprit for the fire to a sceniaro you describe herein. Alexander was enraged when he what had happened to the Greeks, his countrymen left yow they had been treated by the Persians. I also tend to think he had every intention of burning this city, let alone letting the troops let some steam off. Persepolis would have been an equal to the Parthanon in Athens, so I feel it was a spiritual revenge and Alexander was very careful about his treatment of the gods, seeing that they were honored properly, etc. Afterall he was also The Macedonian high priest. Looking for some more from you. Thanks for sharing
