I really liked what you did with old Merlin and the prophecy in the beginning and especially the part where Morgana tries to get Merlin on her side and is forgiving of the poisoning because she thinks he was being manipulated. It felt so /right/ and in character. I love how it all played out and Gwen being scary and putting the knights in order omg. 3 Altwo that bit at the end where old Merlin tells him something, seemed like a leadin to merthur which was nice but also could just be read as something else anyway I'm rambling but this was great |

| tremaCEE chapter 9 . 6/20/2018 This chapter took my breath away. Not the part about Merlin trying and failing to stay awake. Arthur's conversation with Merlin was just downright hilarious. I imagined Arthur saying most of all that at the beginning of the conversation, in a straight face, while Merlin's expression would scream "WTF?!" and "what the heck is going on here?!" Seriously though, Arthur just had to dump all that on poor Merlin. It was a refreshing take. I've read versions where Arthur was angry and bitter or moody and reclusive. But, here, Arthur showed a kind of calm from a matured mind. Great story, though. I loved every bit of it. I still wonder how Morgana managed to get away from all that frying by lightning. |
