![]() ![]() ![]() Another really great chapter, I especially liked the humor and the small show of how truly talented Merlin is. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Really interesting opening chapter, but so far enjoyable |
![]() ![]() ![]() Really love your characterizations and development here. |
![]() ![]() ![]() this ending is nasty |

![]() ![]() GOOD |
![]() ![]() ![]() In fairness, he was explicitly told that Morgana was bad news, but I COMPLETELY agree with your sentiment. Of all times, why did he choose the moments related to Morgana to actually be obedient. It's not like he listened all that well about other stuff. |
![]() ![]() I loved it |
![]() ![]() I read this in about a day and I love it so much! Perfect in every way! |
![]() ![]() Well done! I absolutely loved this. |
![]() ![]() There is actual conflict here, you've done an amazing job of giving Merlin snd Morgana real chemistry, they get into fights and they make up. Great job! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Liking the story so far even though it's a tad overdramatic/overemotional but hey it's fanfiction. Just 2 things: First there are a decent number of typos, mostly of the grammatical variety, not just in this chapter. Examples "had ran" should be "had run", and it's "...smiled and borne it, the way he bore being treated ..." not brunt. You're thinking of the common phrase, " ... he bore the brunt of the load/suffering/whatever...". There are others but those are just 2 I remember off the top of my head. Secondly, you're A/N point 2 about rape is wrong. We don't view it as the worst thing and our punishments show it. You can't get the death penalty for rape, nor can you get life in prison. The average sentence length is actually about 10 years in the US and less in England according to this site (data is old but I doubt it's changed much since the 90's) . And to your point about "attacking their freedom", how is that any different from a regular violent mugging/assault or even more clearly a kidnapping, which can lead to long term imprisonment for the victim, sometimes for years? That seems the clearest and worst "attack" on someone's freedom short of murder. Murder is the worst "attack on freedom": you have no freedom if you're dead, and killing someone takes away all their future choices. Yes society views rape as particularly bad and vile, (and looking at that site, rapists are imprisoned longer than assaulters and robbers on average), but definitely not worse than murder, that's ridiculous. PS: From wikipedia: "In the past, rape was often punished with death, and it is punishable by death in at least 9 countries today: China, Afghanistan, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and North Korea. In some of these instances, special circumstances apply. For example, rape is only punishable by death in India if the victim dies or is put in a persistent vegetative state, and/or if the rapist is a repeat offender, and in Iran, a death sentence for rape can be substituted with compensation, with or without imprisonment and flogging, if the victim so chooses." Ah, such a fine list of upstanding, moral countries with traditional western values and liberties. We should be following their lead...or not. At least India's rule seems reasonable. |
![]() ![]() ![]() It's really good. I love it. It's an event that I should have happened. |
![]() ![]() ![]() i kinda like the idea of them being married and in love, and yet morgana still plotting ways to murder uther and merlin secretly thwarting them. like a very odd and weird flirtation just for them lol. bc really, if she solely focused on uther instead of going in the show as she does, i don't see merlin being all that mad about it actually. the problem is she began attacking arthur and camelot, not just uther on his own...and i think if she succeeded he'd help her cover it up and definitely wouldn't turn her in, so it's just a new facet to the whole trying to kill uther thing. plus i'm with her on this one! solves 90% of their active problems, and only arthur and morgana a bit would be even sad about it |
