Okay... did you know that I actually JUMPED UP AND CHEERED when I saw that you'd updated. (which really had Hubby looking at me strange) I always loved this story, and hoped that one day the muse would return and it would get worked on.

(funny enough, I'd just re-read your first 5 chapters the other day) Don't worry about the 'voices' of the characters- they were fine. YES, there were some difference from before, but that's to be expected (happened to me with 'Grid Lock') And that made the choice of starting out from Tron's POV a BRILLIANT one.

And I was AMAZED at how insightful that POV was... You took those few little mannerisms from the movie and wrote this touching and sad story behind it...

And Alan and Sam trying to get off the outfits (which you handled geniusely, btw.. Was this weird combination of funny and practical (you are amazing at writing exposition so we don't KNOW we're reading exposition)... And Alan's comment of "It even comes with its own special effect and extras cast- could have cut Avatar's budget by half as least." Was EPIC...

You write Alan better than anyone else- including me- I'm only a LITTLE bitter about that. Alan learning about circuitry... AWESOME. Funny as hell, and an interesting take on what the circuits are and what they do for a program. (we all know about them- you gave them a FUNCTION)

And the whole concept with the military and reasons for Tron and how Flynn became CEO... HOLY CRAP! WHY has no one else thought of this... Pure. Freaking. GENIUS on your part... It's smart, it's logical, and feels pure canon... A brillant stroke of thought, and I KNOW that's how I'm going to see Encom, Tron, and the Laser from now on.

And then you end with a very awake, very ANGRY Clu... (dear lord, please don't tell me he managed to get free!) And although Tron is there, and I think he might TRY and protect Flynn- he's still rocking out a lot of Rinzler's programing, and that's going to make things REALLY hard for him!

I'm glad your back and writing again. It was an excellent chapter, full of dynamic and 'real' characters. Can't wait to read the next chapter!

Uh-ohs. Clu's awake. D: I'm amused by the circuitry discussion. Very amused since Alan was the one to discover it on his "clone." Alan's all, "D: :\" and Flynn's all, "LOLOLOL." I'm very impatiently waiting for when Tron does something. Like, opens up. Which is probably going to take a while. -vibrates- But I want Troooon.

...I'm thinking Tron should go into figure-skating. He'd win over all the judges.

Bwah hahaha! -can't stop laughing at stoned-80's-Flynn Clu- I don't know why, but little elements like that make the story oh so much more enjoyable.

;-; Poor Tron. And, I like how quickly Alan jumps into action. That's not sarcasm. He gets knocked over and then it's almost no time before he's like, "Okay, setting priorities: Tell Sam to get to safety; run down this suspicious corridor." I'm pretty sure it would take me a little longer to get into action if I was faced with the face of an old friend...who had not aged...and who wanted to kill me.

LOL! I'm picturing Clu running outside all, "FREEDOM! toplotmyrevenge," and streaking past Alan, who's all, "Whut O_O". Then Quorra and Sam are seen and Alan is horribly, horribly confused, so he runs downstairs, and then there's Kevin, and Tron, and poor ol' Alan better have a strong ticker...

Whut? And I mean that in the best way. -keeps going-

I found this story while I was browsing Tron fanfiction archive one day, and I've been hooked ever since. This is a great chapter! I hope you will keep updating. :D

Before anything, I simply must get the only (and very miniscule) complaint I have. Marv is a boston terrier, not a french bulldog. But moving on!

I have to say I'm absolutely loving your story! I have not yet read a fic where Clu has been transported to the user world, accidental or on purpose, and I'm on the edge wondering what is going to happen next.

Also, Quorra is sometimes tricky to get down and you've done it wonderfully.

This is such an original idea for a sequel - a lot of other people are going the other route: in which Same and company go BACK to the Grid. And you're a really good writer. I look forward to your next update!
