so that's what happened. I read chapter 69 first and thought Lelouch hitting Lukas was quite OOC (and even went on theorizing that is was actually Hector, who did it as his brother and captain) and was therefore a bit dissatisfied. so thanks for this side story! (Abigail did surprise me there. She established her character by hitting a maid for a broken box or something, after all. So she really cares for Euphemia, huh?that's nice!)

oh and I do hope that Lukas and Euphy have a talk soon. It's long overdue!

Wow another chapter 9even though it is a sidestory) you are spoiling us! Now as for my thoughts on this chapter:

Lukas worries too much. I seriously doubt he's a massochist but he is a perfectionist. He obviously values duty greatly and feels failure deeply. Even when there was nothing he could have done. But that is the worst feeling isn't it? One of helplessness of worthlessness.

Lelouch is overanalyzing Lukas. The boy is upset that he let down his commanding officer and Euphie. He's not a massochist but leave it to Lulu to jump to deep yet wrong conclusions. *sigh*

Abigail kind of surprised me but I honestly knew she had the potential in her. She knows from conversation with Euphemia how important Lukas is (at least as a friend) to her. So in part she's defending Euphie's interest. But I also think that she is wearing a little thin on Lelouch's apparently (at least from where she's standing) arbitrary nature. So: GO ABIGAIL YOU ROCK! Happy writings.-Max

You've done a really good job with your OC's. I usually hate OC's but yours are believable and well done sometimes I forget they aren't part of the cannon universe.

Nice chapter, been waiting for something like this read the story. I agree with Lelouch Lukas is bit a masochist or he worries too much. Either way nice chapter just hope taht litle fight doesnt mean bad thing for Lulu/Abigal really like that couple.

Nice insight. Hopefully it'll give Euphie insight into Lukas' character as well once when Abbey tells Euphie and she realizes Lukas wanted to be punished for failure.

A well written chapter. I think it gave us a good idea of how Lukas views himself and the world. I have a feeling that what we learned about Lukas in this chapter will be important later in the main story.

hahaha awww poor Lukas, I like him but he seems to think way to much about everything, and that's good, but not in this case. YAY I was waiting for these scene since chapter 68 :D A guilty Lukas is not something that might blow up, he's cute :D And know he needs Euphy's word -maybe Cornelia's- and a little talk with his brother won't do damage, ne? *laughs* But I thinks Hector will know what happened with Lelouch eventually.

Lukas would probably benefit from one of those three week courses on bodyguarding the next time there is a school break. If he gets time off for those. Of course maybe they have night classes he could take, oh wait on campus housing for Euphy, crap... I dunno. Interesting seeing how he took it at any rate.
