The title is rather ironic. In his twisted pursuit Severus proves his unworthiness. Harry would give his very life for Severus, but the bitter man had to torture his lover to accept the truth of it. In HP fanfics I usually like to see Sev and Harry end up together no matter what, but in this universe you've conjured I can't help hoping that Harry would eventually see that he could do much better and leave the Potions Master.

That was the most warped story I can ever remember reading and it makes me question if I should read anymore of your stories. Harry should immediately leave Severus and never look back, that is the worse mental domestic abuse I have ever read.

I cried. End of story.

Okay, maybe not end of story, but I certainly did cry. That was incredibly emotional. Though I am a little disappointed in Severus. I mean, that seemed a little bit Gryffindorish of him. Like, I understand that he is a man of few words, but he couldn't have just said something like, "Hey, Harry. Do you, by any chance, love me?" But of course, that wouldn't make for a very good story, would it? ;)
