Well, I'll give you credit. You didn't name your character Bella. Oh! Or give her a superhero nickname like Blackrose or Darkshade or Black Do. . . ummmmmmmm.
Sorry I didn't review in time for the April Fool's Day story to turn into a May Day story. I think you've got a real eye for romance and continue to work with such soul-searing material in the future! Forget all this embracing of dark psychology and neurological minituae. That's for wussies and college graduates!

For whatever reason, I read your reviews before I read the actual story, and I was very excited to find that your fic was being received so well... needless to say, I obviously did not pick up on the sarcasm. ;)
The name "Angelface" in the review below mine should have alerted me, but it didn't.
In any case, 'He knocked against the door and it disappeared in a cloud of glittering smoke' was a great line. Thank you for that.
What a lovely and inspiring story! ;)
| The Illegible chapter 1 . 4/1/2011
This is such a touching story. It moved me deeply-I was bawling like a baby when the guards screamed "Herp a derp derp" at them. That Joker and Angelface could be so strong in the face of adversity is profoundly inspiring. THEY'RE JUST...SO...PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER!
XD You have truly created a masterpiece.

This is beautiful. You can really feel the compatibility between Joker and your OC, who stands out from the usual ‘Batman’s daughter’ type in – well, the ways are self-evident. In some of those, the Joker is made a /leetle/ ooc in order to end up with her, but this is totally different. Nice characterisation of Arkam’s guards, by the way; it’s good to see someone attending to the details.
Just so I don’t come off as some handwaving enabler with no discernment, here’s some constructive criticism – you might want to work on your spelling. The true spirit of a story comes through better when it’s not hampered by a rigid adherence to so called perfect form. Up to you though! Maybe you could do a sequel with your OC and the Joker’s kids...
Wow, I hope you don’t get flamed. There are some really intolerant people hanging around in this corner of the internet. I bet none of them could do better, though.
