Great take on the Snitch and Quidditch. Prose could use some work (especially some of the stilted uses when a contraction would be preferable - you are to you're).

I've been waiting for Less Wrong to finish HP and the Methods of Rationality and this was a nice read while we wait.

Slight nitpick. Aragog is the name of the leader of the group of Acromantula in the Forest. Not the species name.

I loved the part at the end when Hermione said 'less wrong'.

High marks overall. First, the bad: as others have noted, the author could really use a closer relationship with English spelling, grammar, and phrasing. (...However - on looking closely, I'm _fairly_ sure that English is not the author's first language, in which case at least some of this gets a pass from me, cuz it's difficult enough to flow and shine in this language as a -native- speaker.)

Why I'm jumping feet-first on that part? Because it's obscuring, by repeated invocation of "oh no, I didn't just read something wrote like that", the IDEAS behind the terrible prose... which are purest gold. BL has savagely deconstructed Quidditch here, and as a side note the house elves, neither of which Eliezer has gotten to do yet, and done both quite quite logically; he's also caught the spirit of Eliezer's characters as well, I think, though the flesh of the words was weak, stopping some of it from shining through.

I am glad to have read this fanfic, and hope the author is motivated to write more.

You should mark this story as complete.

I really liked this story on two levels. First, the Quidditch game itself, and the various strategy games Harry, Quirrel, and everyone else is playing. Second, the philophy and lessons behind it: economics, "wisdom," etc.

I don't know if you have more to say on the second level, but I would love to see Harry playing the inter-year war games. And find out what he wants with Olliver Wood.

P.S. I don't know if ff net messed things up, but the formatting could use some clean up.

There are a lot of compliments I could give this fic, about how well it captures the spirit of MoR despite some formatting and phrasing issues, about how entertaining it was or how it will stay with me for a long while, but I think I will simply say this:

I clicked on the link to this story from LessWrong's profile merely out of curiosity, fully expecting to read the first chapter just to satisfy said curiosity and then go watch Doctor Who. Instead I found myself compelled to finish the whole thing in one sitting, postponing Doctor Who for at least an hour.

Trust me, that is a very sincere compliment.
