|Reviews for Belief In Good|
| Guest chapter 1 . 3/5/2014
Lovely. I like how Arthur shares Gaius opinion and therefore it's good.
| Weaving Bard chapter 1 . 12/7/2012
a bit brief... I'd like to point out that Gaius and Merlin are FAMILY. Arthur should feel a little humbled by that. I mean really, who's going to heal him and his knights? Who's going to be there for him? Who probably birthed him? Who held his hand through chickenpox? Who keeps Camelot from breaking out in boils and lice? Who's good with hangover meds? Who treated his skinned knees and knuckles when he was first learning how to fight? Who diagnosed threats as magical and nonmagical? Who sets the broken bones? Works in makeshift hospitals when sieges happen? Who has his shelves full of beneficial potions as well as deadly poisons?
Arthur, show some respect. This manservant is loved.

I like this OS. It's pretty interesting.
| Goutt2mer chapter 1 . 1/19/2012
Hey hey hey hey :DD
No Merlin in this one but I really appreciate that Gaius has his "own" story. And it's quite touching to see Arthur so deeply confused of what to do next with Merlin. And Gaius' saying fit with Merlin' opinions.
See you in the next review !

I really loved that. You have a good handle on the characters. :)
| lilahri chapter 1 . 8/26/2011
This was very interesting to read. I think this is a great character study on Arthur, Gaius and Merlin (especially Merlin). The way you explained the different views of magic was very well done.

So I've been shamelessly going through every Merlin fanfic that grabs my interest and clicking on authors who are particularly good. After your constant reveals with GWAINE BEING AMAZING! I clicked on your profile and found I've read every one of your previous Merlin fanfictions. Which means, without knowing, you have consistently grabbed my attention.(You know I thought Merlin's speech about people corrupting magic sounded familiar) Well done. I think I can be quite critical. I mean, 7000 fanfics and I've picked out 11 authors. Now it's 12. And you are better than half of them. Now, about magic. I agree. I never thought of it before but it makes perfect sense. I cringed when I saw the sword quote. Almost as bad as the coin. But you pulled it out well enough and then you were like NO MERLIN BE ORIGINAL! thank you :) but i still want to read more so..
| Kitty O chapter 1 . 5/15/2011
Gaius looked to Arthur who was listening, as Merlin had once told him he must
I like that because I don't think Arthurt took that advice.
I loved this oneshot.
| 1832TeaQL chapter 1 . 4/22/2011
Your Gaius was spot on! Those lines of his could have been from an episode itself. The way he explains the essential to Arthur and leaves a bit for Arthur to figure out himself is so Gaius-ish! I think that is the specialty of Gaius, he explains, advises & suggests, but leaves the decision making to the next person.
And that last line was excellent. I think it summoned up the output of the entire conversation. Which is, that while Arthur and Uther usually feel threated by Magic, Merlin's magic is something that makes Arthur feel he was safe.
Great one! Write more!

Wow, this is amazing! I love your writing! This is going in my favorites xD
| IceCreamDoodle13 chapter 1 . 4/9/2011
I really enjoyed this story. It's very in character of Merlin to be optimistic and maybe a little naive and believe that magic is, at its heart, good but can be corrupted. It also shows a lot about Gaius and Merlin's relationship that Gaius has that kind of insight into Merlin's views. I basically loved it :)
| Emachinescat chapter 1 . 4/5/2011
I really enjoyed it. :)
| MirrorFlower and DarkWind chapter 1 . 4/3/2011
nice i liked it
| collinfan chapter 1 . 4/2/2011
i love this story because like most people who write about the "finding out" they write about arthur being true to his friendship
| Literaria chapter 1 . 4/2/2011
Very nice! Most authors usually assume that Merlin shares Gaius's belief that magic is neutral, but I think you actually hit it closer to the truth. Well done!
