The way you wrote how Mei and Koh lettering would go down was nothing but pure genius. The way she was slipping was beautiful written and Koh being such a creep was done so tastefully and the undertones were so good I felt like I was there with her hating every single moment of being in his presence. I also glad of her getting rescued and having a happy( well not happy per say she’s definitely probably has some sort of trauma with her now but hey she alive) ending.

This was beautifully done. You really got Koh's creepy mannerisms, and Mai's anxiety about being in such a situation.

As for your author's note, I don't think there were any erotic hints, but there were DEFINITELY obsessive hints from Koh, and they certainly landed. I could feel how much he WANTED her face.

I'm so glad Mai got rescued. And that bit about her giving Zuko "a bloody nose and a split lip" for his birthday as a child was so cute!

Oh my god, I didn’t expect this to be this good at all! When I saw the theory about how Mai would be one of the few people that could confront Koh without getting her face stolen, I immedietly went to look for some fics, expecting to find crack ones. But this one... This is amazing! Definitely disturbing, and so well-written. You described Mai’s inner thoughts and feelings perfectly. You were able to show how much of a toll this had taken on her and how she started to crack. I really felt how desperate she was and felt really bad for her, but I was also on edge during the entire story, wondering if they will be able to rescue her or not. The fact that Koh had a twisted admiration on her really makes sense, since he saw her as a challenge for him. His thoughts were creepy, how they interacted was disturbing and amazingly constructed. Splendid job!

This was amazing! Amazingly creepy but amazing! I really felt for Mai. More than once you brought tears to my eyes. The fast enumeration of the survival routine, in curt sentences and the stream of "ignore him ignore him ignorehimignorehim" really got to me. When Zuko found her, his tenderness made me cry. Koh can go to hell.

ok yeah bro, you definitely succedeed at this holy fucking shit. Fuck. How the hell did you make an already creep character like Koh even more disturbing? Like I love it but still, poor Mai she definitely didn't deserve this. Nevertheless, I must say that this is completely brilliant. I was super tense while reading all of this, I just kept thinking 'he's going to get her, he's going to get her, she's going to slip up, the fic's going to end with Mai without a face'. But oh thank god that didn't happen, Zuko to the rescue! But shit, that 'I'll see you again... Mai' made me literally shout NO! NO! NO! so loud that my family was definitely jusging me. But holy hell you sure earned that response, listen to me sir/m'am please let Mai be happy and spend the rest of her life smiling and being with Zuko. ... please? The only thing I can say that irked me a little (and even then this is like extreme nitpicking) was that Zuko was very passive, I don't know I expected him to say more things or hold her closer or I don't know. Just more spice if you know what I mean. But yeah dude, you defintiely went for the stars in this fic and shoved it into our faces. Good job dude.

I'm sufficiently creeped out. I wasn't even sure if Mai would be rescued or if she'd be stuck with Koh forever. This really worked because Mai is someone who hid what she felt many times in book 2 and 3, and being able to fully express herself was cathartic. Wonderfully written story!
