Holy crap. That was kind of odd. The writing itself was good, just wondering where the story could go from there.
| omnimon12 chapter 31 . 8/16/2013
You had Evangeline Athanasia Katherine McDowell use 'Starlight Breaker' as a sacrificial attack...wow...I don't even know what to say to that.

It is the cunt from whence you came. It is the cunt into which you will soon come again."
Puns are great.

Nnnnever mind. Not my cuppa tea.
| the4thera chapter 31 . 7/20/2012
Ok so I'm a little disappointed that Negi is essentially the only one with a sub-par pecker... every other important character seems to have a humongous one so... seems a little unfair.

You know... you could warn the viewers before they stumble into a big fat fucking juicy lemon... jus' sayin'
| 005 chapter 33 . 3/15/2012
Finally finished this fanfiction. Gotta say it was kinda tough at times but I was glad I got through it. It was well worth the read.
| Acolrn chapter 33 . 3/14/2012
Still my favourite Negima Lemon Fic in the world (even if I would have wished one or two things turned out differently) and in general a well-written example of Negima research.

Lol good job with the nice boat reference. Good story too. Just enough of both elements, porn and plot.
| the bird of Hermes is my name chapter 10 . 10/17/2011
I missed The Voice of Reason. Didn't expect Haruna though.
| the bird of Hermes is my name chapter 9 . 10/17/2011
Wow Honya-chan, dark decision. Kinda agree with Eva-chan on it.

I don't know why, but I felt compelled to leave a review. Nothing too big, I just wanted to say you've done an excellent job with this story. I'm glad I actually decided to read it. You did an amazing job with putting everything together, and having it come out smoothly instead of forced. I will say this is a story that shouldn't be read by people who hate things like yuri or incest, I wouldn't call it smut because there is an actual story behind it and not just pointless sex, most of the time. Lol Well I feel like this review has dragged on pointlessly for long enough. I hope I can enjoy more stories like this from you later on.

I would say “You twisted bastard,” but that would only encourage you. I have one compliant about the story, if you disregard everything involving personal opinions on what characters should and shouldn’t do, it hopped from smut to plot and back. This was more unsettling than actually plot (or smut) interfering. I started reading the story expecting plot (in other words I’m an idiot) and got smut, with good plot but still smut (this is not a bad thing). This threw me off. Then I got used to the idea that it was a smut story and you changed it to having actual plot beyond the smut’s plot. This threw me off again. This constant switch between the character plot (smut’s plot) and the deeper plot (everything else) distracted me and I usually had to take a break from reading for longer than I wanted to, to sort it out. That being said, this is still probably a personal problem and you should disregard it.
After you (rightfully) getting angry at me on TV Tropes I took it as my mission to read Decadent Habits and give you constructive criticism on everything you did wrong (and enjoy the story, which I did). I found nothing. This might not be saying much as I’m a terrible writer and, as such, know little about what’s good. But every problem I had with the story was based on differing opinions and not actually related to the story. I got excited when I read the ending. “Most of the time when the author writes something that big they leave something important out,” I said to myself. I thought about it for almost an hour before finding one thing I disliked, and being forced to disregard it as it would only take away from the ending. I’ll put it here anyway; it would have been nice if Negi told the girls he wouldn’t be doing them anymore. A small thing like that was all I could find that I disliked and I have no idea where to work that in.
One last comment; I keep seeing this referred to by everyone involved in writing it as a boulder. It is not. A boulder stops when it hits an obstacle big enough, this won’t. You now have several side stories and Rainbow Murders. This isn’t a boulder, this is an avalanche. Great job Darkening, you twisted bastard.
| Extraintrovert chapter 33 . 8/26/2011
After finishing reading what has most certainly elevated itself to become the most interesting story I have discovered in the previous six months, I feel empty inside. Much like the character's victory, completing this story has the benefits almost cancelled by the detriments, the satisfaction of reaching a conclusion counterpointed by the pain of the nature of that conclusion, a combination of relief, dread, sorrow and faltering hope. Additionally, I remain unsure as how to react to this story; the pedant in me refuses to ignore the narrative inconsistencies and contradictions and glaring spelling/grammatical errors (especially in the “Mahora” chapter), agreeing with the pompous parts that the silly premise and its elements are not excused by the intricate skill of its presentation, while in contrast the depressive parts collectively wrapped themselves around the inconclusive and emotionally draining final acts, and the (buried deep, deep down) prospective author salivates at the incredible feel of an actual story, one that continues above and beyond the reader’s glimpse into it or even the character’s themselves. All I know for certain is that it hurts, and that I am still unable to conveying my thoughts accurately.
Also, as with the story itself I remain ambivalent as to the prospect of a continuation, both dreading any further additions that will drill into my brain and eager to witness how the threads and skeins will grow and tangle around a new set of circumstances. It will almost certainly be a sight to behold in any case.
