What a wonderful story! I love your imagining of this unusual pairing - I had never read a Jane/Col. Fitzwilliam story before, but your writing style was delightful and completely believable. And I must say that my favorite part of the epilogue was Mr. Bingley marrying Miss Morton with the £30,000 - that detail was a brilliant idea to include! Excellent job :D

I love alternate universe stories. I love stories with Colonel Fitzwilliam. And I love stories that pair Elizabeth, Darcy, or Jane with someone else. Your story was short and sweet and quite enjoyable. Hope you write more. I'd love to see another variation on the Colonel Fitzwilliam and Jane theme, maybe with them falling for each other at Rosings?

That was quite lovely (I've just spent waaayyy too much time watching, okay fast forwarding through, William and Kate's wedding). Did I miss the introduction of Richard as Darcy's cousin? I felt a little bad for Wickam; I guess I never thought of him as being executed...Love how you gave them a lesson on jumping to conclusions and thinking ill of people (mr. brown) and Jane's lesson to Mr. Bingley (even if she seemed a little OOC). Overall, I really enjoyed the story.

Sweet! I wish it was longer but you wrapped it up so neatly. Seems like everyone gets their HEA (in record time for L&D!) except for Wickham, of course. I loved Mr B's comment. I'm so glad Mr Brown turned out to be a nice guy after all and would've been there for Jane had she needed him to be, had Richard not been there.
