Reviews for Ann's Decision
angelolady chapter 20 . 7/3/2013
Aaauuughhh! Poor Tony! This means, you realize, that the first chapter of the sequel is due by next week!

Thank you for working so long and hard on this story. Now do more!
Lucretia chapter 20 . 7/3/2013
That last line just about made me cry...I was really cheering for them...

Hmm...could you maybe write a sequel where Althea is kidnapped or something and thus CAN'T contact him?
EveningInHornersCorners chapter 20 . 7/3/2013
Wonderful ending and thanks for the kind words! I look forward to any and all of your future pieces for this fandom.

-OMIGOSH they're HOME!
-"The archeologist looked in his brown eyes and understood at once, what her great-grandmother must have seen in them." Beautiful line...
-"The ceremony was short and sweet, albeit solemn. Tony stood beside Althea, who carried the bridal bouquet. Ann and Doug said their vows and as Tony turned his head a little, his eyes met Althea's. She smiled, turned her attention back to the Couple, but Tony suddenly felt her hand in his." That paragraph is so very sweet...I love it.
-"Angie Malcolm and Althea Waversham proved themselves as real friends. They helped Ann to update her outfit and sheltered her from much to pushy journalists." Yeah, if I'd been out of the loop for thirty years, I'd REALLY want someone to be on and at my side like that.
-"Have you noticed, that the names of the three Ladies begin all with the letter A?" Funny, but I actually HADN'T noticed that...
-"Althea wanted to console him, but she wasn't sure of her feelings for him. Sometimes she thought, Tony saw her as a replacement of her great-grandmother." I can definitely understand what she's thinking here, not wanting to rush into anything...
-"But as Althea never called him and did not answer his telephone calls, Tony bury himself in his work and tried to forget her." Oh, that's so sad...
EveningInHorn chapter 19 . 6/30/2013
Lovely, lovely chapter!

-"Jerry Briggs smiled inwardly. Dr. Angie Malcolm was always enthusiastic from everything. He liked her. Not only because she reminded him of Dr. Ann MacGregor." Aw, that's sweet...
-"From now on, they were a part of the weird gang." Neat that they're allowed into the cult.
-"Ten years after the Titanic disaster she became the wife of Dr. Greenwood, her surgeon, and a year later my grandmother, Muriel was born." It's nice to think that Althea got a happy ending after all, even if it wasn't with Tony. (:
-"But he left me a short letter, in which he wrote, that he was tired of his loneliness and would be searching for the woman that had captured his heart long ago, Sarit!" SO characteristic of Tony. I always kind of knew he would run off...
-"He really found Sarit and married her, but their luck was short lived. They traveled with Marco Polo and reached Italy in 1295. Sarit was pregnant after she had two miscarriages. She got ill with an unknown virus and died and with her the child." Oh, poor Tony...and poor Sarit...
-"We have never forgotten about them and we will bring them back." It's kind of amazing, really, that they didn't give up years ago...
-"I'm here at the right time, as I see. I will help you!" Ibsen, I presume?
EveningInHornersCorners chapter 19 . 6/20/2013
Lovely chapter!

-"Above him he noticed Ann, who held a cast iron pan in her hands." Gotta love that whole scene...Way to go Ann!
-"You! I had nearly forgotten how overprotective you can be. That will be my third winter in this area and I rode this path in storm, rain and snow more than once. But don't worry. I like it to be looked after." That's such a nice line...I'd like my man to look after me too...
-"With great tenderness and very thoroughly he brushed her hair." Aw, that's so sweet...
-"Tony's thoughts are much more advanced. He want to travel to China or where ever else." I can just see Doug saying that with a wry smile on his face...
-"I'm sure, he isn't a very talkative guy, Doug. And I have my pan not with me, so I cannot help you." Quite amusing, especially with Doug's follow-up.
-"Doug will ask you, I'm sure. Make it a little complicated for him to follow me." Clever Ann, clever...
-"In this time, it would be better, if we are marrying in the church." Lands sake, yes. If they already think he's a sorcerer...I shudder to think...
The Tantalus Signature chapter 18 . 6/16/2013
"And I found out that Dr. Newman was gone back in time to stay there with a woman." Nice to think that Tony finds love...Sarit, I assume?
EveningInHornersCorners chapter 18 . 6/16/2013
Fabulous chapter! I can't wait to see what happens next...

-"But his Name isn't Ibsen. We know him as Andre Malcolm, although I'm aware, that he has other identities." Wow, this is getting more complex than ever...
-Ibsen's explanation definately caught me off-guard...who would have thunk...?
-And the plan is ingenius!
-"Since Angharad was nice to look at it wasn't really a hardship to court her." Rather amusing...
-It's neat that she and Tony get to meet up. I'd hate to see what she might have done to him with that dagger if it hadn't been him, though...
-"The next morning dawned clouded and with cold rain mixed with snow." Pretty miserable...
-Great ending but poor Ann. What could be the matter?
angelolady chapter 17 . 6/10/2013
Do please hurry! :)
EveningInHornersCorners chapter 17 . 6/10/2013
Fabulous chapter!

-"...she took Ann's necklace away." That doesn't sound good...
-Oh, but it is...I only hope Doug and Tony don't lose hope...
-"There was a special dinner in the staff canteen, which was decorated. Kirk, Ray, Doug and she sat together, exchanged small presents and talked all night long." That sounds very pleasant...I can see why Ann enjoys it...
-"Doug, she will be with you again, look at her picture and then try to overcome the fever." That entire scene was very well-done...isn't it just a natural instinct for a man to want the woman he loves in his hour of suffering?
-"She had no more tears after she had cried for days over Maireads untimely death." Oh dear...
-"The mood in Tic Toc Main Base was strained. Jerry and Dr. Swain had worked the whole night long, and now the moment was come they would know if the tunnel would come to life again." The moment of suspense...
-Oh, thank goodness it worked...
-"Ibsen!" OH. MY. GOSH! My mouth went dry when I read that...What a cliffhanger...

Once again, great chapter; I'm really looking forward to the next update!
EveningInHornersCorners chapter 16 . 6/2/2013
Great chapter!

-"Ibsen is the only one who knows them. And he is obviously vanished without a trace. It is exasperating!" I should say so!
-"After much deliberation and consultation with Kirk and Clark, they consecrated him in and he promised to betray not only not a word but to use his contacts to help them." I have a feeling this fellow will be of some use later on...
-"Shush, it is not proper to call your fiance by his first name. You are not married, yet." My but haven't our values changes?
-"The woman who has declared to be her Aunt, helped her washing her hair and gave her a dress, because the 20. century garment, that Ann previously had worn, was not to her liking." A rather amusing detail.
-"Ann had to smile as she read that he gave his car and his guitar to her." I could just see her, smiling through her tears...a beautiful image.
-And I never really thought of Doug as musical, but it's definately a possibility...
-"She knew how much Doug liked it if she wore her hair down and every thought of him made her unbelievable impatient for his homecoming." That is such a sweet thought...

I love that each chapter in this story has its own seperate identity. I've read stories where it seems like every chapter is the same, but this certainly isn't one of them.
EveningInHornersCorners chapter 15 . 5/27/2013
This was a good chapter; it's nice to start getting into the adventure that will (we hope) bring Doug and Ann together.

-"Sir Douglas, Sir Anthony..." That's a bit...strange... Almost as though they're playing characters in the theatrer of history...
-"...My knave, Henry, named him the 'fat Geoff'." Quite an amusing detail.
-"...You know, my daughter is a fine girl and I would give you her hand gladly." Yeah, buddy, I would NOT go messing with a man and his beloved...
-"Oh my, you're head over heels, don't you? But what if the Lady Ann the Duke mentioned is a plump, sharp-tongued redhead with a wart on her nose?" Eternally optimistic, aren't we Tony?
-"After three days of restless wandering she was exhausted and felt sick." And I certainly don't blame her. She must be miserable in those conditions!
-"The fire in the hearth was crackling and warmed the room pleasantly. Ann had been stripped from her clothes and the woman had dressed her in a linen shirt. Then she instilled a few sips of tea to Ann and covered the now deeply sleeping with a couple of thick blankets." Poor thing. She certainly deserves the rest...
-"Your uncle is a beast. My only hope is that Sir Douglas and Sir Anthony will come back from their crusade and Angus will get the just punishment from them." Yeah, I'd kinda like to see that too...I don't like the sound of this Angus guy...
EveningInHornersCorners chapter 14 . 5/22/2013
Wow! What a chapter...

-"Last night she had dreamt again, the same dream she had a few nights ago. But in this dream there were a woman standing in the middle of the forest who hold her back from running after her friends and another woman who was leading Doug away from her." Yeah, that's a really creepy dream. Women holding you back from the man you love and leading him away from you? I shudder to think.
-I have to admit, I really admire Ann's conviction. Goodness knows I'd definately chicken out...
-You know, I never thought about it that way, but Ibsen could very well be an alien...with telepathic powers, maybe...
-Well, at least she made it. Now let's hope she finds them...
-And oh great. Ibsen's disappeared. Just when we might like to keep an eye on him...alas...
-And Senator Clark is back? Thank goodness! Maybe we'll be able to work this out. Finally.

Great chapter, and I'm really looking forward to your next update.
Rendezvous With Danger chapter 12 . 5/22/2013
"Tony was not adverse to flirt. The blonde girl reminded him of another woman." Wait, who's the other woman?
EveningInHornersCorners chapter 13 . 5/11/2013
This was a really great, developmental chapter!

-Wow! How on earth did Ibsen know what Doug left for her? Sneaking around his quarters or something? Tsk tsk.
-That was also a beautiful story about Anne and her knight. Could that tell what will happen to them?
-I like that the piece of jewelry he gave her with his proposal wasn't the conventional ring but a necklace.
-"But rest wouldn't come easy to both of them and after they had finally fallen asleep, they were plagued by nightmares in which Tony had to fight with faceless attackers who wanted to kidnap Maria; and Doug, whose dream were pleasant at first lost Ann after a shootout as she was bleeding to death in his arms." Romantic hardships all around, huh?
-"I know, I know it since Sarit, you remember? Maybe you were already united with Ann again if you had let me back then." Ouch, Tony. Nice of you to hang it over his head...

I'm curious to see where they're transferred to next and what signifigance that location will hold.
SixtiesManchesterTeatime chapter 12 . 5/6/2013
Every time I read this I find my vocabulary expands.
