I don’t buy Victoria’s “poor me” crap. Or that she really wanted “his eyes.” Maybe Victoria believed it really would be an investment, but that crap she spewed to Edward was just a lie - a last dig.

I was hoping Edward’s “did he ever call it a loan” line of questions would lead to some sort of argument/arbitration/legal effort of Bella’s to argue for at least not paying interest. I get paying it back, but he’s monster for charging interest on a gift.

Wow. If Mike thinks the financial help is enough to make her stay with him after CONFIRMING that he is still a giant asshole, that he hasn’t actually changed like she thought, he has another think coming.

Okay…this chapter did nothing to make me want to continue. Neither one of them are as awesome as they once were. Mike? People change, but I don’t think I could ever get in with someone who was so cruel and mean-spirited like he was. And to the guy she liked, no less. And Edward and his “girlfriend.” What an empty existence.

I may just need to skip ahead a bit - I don’t think I can take a bunch of chapters of people not saying how they feel for that long.

I guess I’m just having a hard time because I was Edward. But I didn’t fundamentally change my heart or my nature just because a few people saw me differently when I got older. It’s just so disappointing to see.

That’s…so disappointing. And hard to believe, honestly. He got hot, okay, but a barely-discerning fuck around guy? He changed the nature of his temperament? Gross.

I hope he has something redeeming, because this flirty fuckboy thing is gross.
