This is just what I needed! I love how you took aspects of their character from the books. How Alek said his father always knew what to say, and how Volger mentioned that Sofia was very pragmatic. I loved it, good job!

why does this have to be a one shot? this is awesome. And the ending is written as if there was to be more. As if there were to be a second chapter in the midst. Anyway, thanks for writing this, because i genuinely enjoyed reading it.

I realise repeating an exclamation over and over again is not an appropriate way to express my disposition towards your story.

However, I found it appropriate to in this situation. This is an amazing story, with historical accuracy, good plot lines, character portrayals and good style of writing and that Spark.

NOOOO!It can't just end there! This is one of the most interesting and well-written fanfics I've read on this website. The charecters are completly believable and I fell in love with with them the moment I started reading. And none of the dialogue seemed forced or mushy-that takes TALENT when writing a love story.

By the way, kudos to you for focusing on a leviathan couple besides Dalek(j'adore them, but after a while the reading material becomes a little redundant)

Oh, deary, don't talk yourself down. You're a very good writer, and you don't need to feel inferior, even with all the amazing fics we have in this fandom. This is one of them, trust me. I absolutely love historically accurate fics, and this was just perfect. The setting, the dialogue, everything! Fantastic job!

wow! its a shame this doesnt have more reviews, although the fact that scott westerfeld featured it is probably already worth hundreds. :) anyways, the idea is really original, and i really loved the story, writing, characterization, detail, everything! and yeah, you definitely have no need to feel intimidated- this fic was amazing.

this story is wonderful, i love it and even Scott Westerfeld himself thinks highly of it! personally, i think you should turn this into a full blown story about how they secretly meet and form a relationship, fall in love and get married... ending with the birth of alek. that's just what i think, but regardless, it is a marvelous one shot :D

This was absolutely wonderful! you made me fall in love completely with Sophia and Franz ! I loved the personalities you created and all the adorable and witty dialogue :) this is by far one of the best Leviathan series fanfics I've read !

I was brought here by Scott-la himself, who, if you didn't know, recommended THIS fic to all the fans on his blog! 3 As I read it, I can totally tell why he recommended it. It covers a less looked-at part of the bookverse, and I really like all the little detail you put it that shows you did your research. From remembering that everything outside the US is METERS and not feet to tight, uncomfortable, yet- oddly enough- lacking cloth at places dresses (i'm a history buff too) to the little quips within Sophie's though process that made me chuckle.

I also love Sophie and Franz teasing conversation, it was so cute! And the ending... :( Part II where they meet again?
