Perfect. I always wondered as I read the book and watched the movie why Westley loved Buttercup despite her lack of thought. This definitely answered my question. Your story made me laugh and smile at the sheer sweetness. Not to mention it being brilliantly written. Please write more! Any resistance would be completely, totally, and in all other ways inconcievable!

Liked that first chapter. After reading The Princess Bride, I was disappointed to find buttercup a shallow/not the sharpest character in the book. But it helped me see how Westly could love her even more for that, because if she was super witty like him, they wouldn't work well together. Thanks for even improving my great love for The Princess Bride.

Very sweet. I really liked chapter two - specially the final sentence. I too always wondered how she could be all alone on the movie (since that in the book she had parents).

I love how this is written. It's clever, fun and touching. :)
I've always had a problem with how silly Buttercup is and why someone as bright as Westley stays with her. This explains it beautifully.
Thanks for sharing!

I love you.
I was thinking this throughout the entire movie. What does perfect, spelendid, intelligent, comedic, skilled, compassionate, brave Westley see in Buttercup? And then I realized that he probably had the time of his life helping the girl out, and, just like you said, he loved her for her... ineptness (if that is a word)
