|Reviews for Surrealism of the Underlying Metaphor|
| LastScorpion chapter 1 . 4/8/2014
Yes, Donna, that's from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I thought it would be funny because Martin Freeman, who plays Dr. Watson in Sherlock, also played Arthur Dent in the movie version of Hitchhikers' Guide. (And opera Singer Jenny Hill was saved from a blackmailer in The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother, and "Somebody's poisoned the waterhole - there's a snake in my boot" is from Toy Story.)
Thanks so much for commenting! I'm glad you enjoyed the ficlet!

Is the title a The Guide reference? That is, the Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy, a most remarkable book.
My name isn't a Doctor Who reference, by the way.

Wow that fic really did counterpart the surrealism of the underlying metaphor of the humanity... yes, humanity of the writer's compassionate soul, which contrives through the medium of the sentence structure to sublimate this, transcend that, and come to terms with the fundamental dichotomies of the other!
Well, it made me laugh anyway...

Was John's line at the end the same comment Arthur Dent made about the Vogon poetry in 'Hitchhiker's"?
