|Reviews for Guardian Angel|
| clh chapter 1 . 11/14/2016
Poor Arthur. This is so sad. I'm not sure how much I like the ending because I'm not a fan of non-canon Arthur-finds-out stories, but I see how it was the only way for Arthur to realise it wasn't his mother who was looking out for him, so it works on that level.
| Griffinesque chapter 1 . 10/18/2011
Oh. This is perphaps the sadest thing that I have ever read. Still brilliant though.
| Cynical and Sarcastic chapter 1 . 5/27/2011
This was sooooo good! Please, PLEASE expand on it! It's just amazing, and your writing style is impeccable.
| Lord Zog chapter 1 . 5/19/2011
That so needs another chapter! Love the idea it was Arthur's mum looking out for him
| ArodieltheElfofRohan chapter 1 . 5/16/2011
Oh goodness, this was excellent. :P I've always wondered why Arthur never seemed to give much more thought about the glowing ball of light in The Poisoned Chalice. And having Arthur think that it was his mother who was protecting him was very clever. Why don't these things ever happen in the show? *headdesk* Ah well. Nice oneshot. ;)
| Wing Moon chapter 1 . 5/14/2011
His Father had described it as a guardian angel. The words resonated with him more than he cared to admit. An angel…it couldn't possibly be…he didn't dare to hope. But he did hope. As the months went on and he saw more and more evidence that something was keeping him from harm he began to hope that maybe it was a someone, not a something. Someone protecting him, with him always.
As Uther seemed to become more demanding and, although he hadn't thought it possible, less affectionate he hoped with all his heart that maybe it was her. The one who loved him unconditionally, watching from beyond the grave. As much as he tried not to get his hopes up, the idea gradually became less fanciful and more comforting. In times of darkness he clung to the idea that his Mother wasn't lost to him. That she was taking care of him even if he couldn't quite reach her.
I hope you don’t think this mean but something feels like it missing between the two paragraphs. I think your still talking about Arthur but Uther name is there…so I think what I want to know is who is the ‘he’ in the first 3 lines is it Uther or Arthur?
So when he swivelled round from fighting a bandit and saw Merlin casting a spell to stop another from attacking Arthur, everything seemed to turn cold. His mind started piecing things together as much as he tried to stop it. Wheels just kept turning, ripping apart his fantasy and shoving the harsh reality in front of him. Merlin had magic. His Mother was dead and gone, with no way to reach him. This protection was not her, just a lying sorcerer. He could see Merlin looking at him imploringly, his eyes begging for understanding, but Arthur turned away, feeling only bitter disappointment.
Breathtaking beautiful…that was a really great one-sort. I love this ending paragraph.

O_O Awwie you made me feel sad for Arthur. Not a bad thing, but I have a sudden urge to hug the prat. Cuz I'm just not clear on the "He's NOT REAL!" That's depressing.
Really sweet; I've never thought of it that way before. I would love a continuation! Could make a cool new reveal fic :).
| Starts with a D chapter 1 . 5/6/2011
Wow. Talk about a tear-jerker. First for Arthur's sweet hope, then his crashing dreams, and don't even get me started on Merlin.
Thanks for not making this 100 words. That is just not long enough sometimes.

This is sad. Very sad. With this show you could assume that the old religion only created Merlin because they knew Arthur needed a guide. Merlin would not exist if Igraine was still alive. Balinor never would of met Hunith and Merlin would never have been born. I've often searched for a story were Arthur is thrown into a world were Igraine had not died. Would Morgana be good? Would she even be alive? Arthur cannot have everyone.

Ohhhh that was so sad! *sniffle* The writing was brilliant and entirely in charater... oOoO impressiveness! :-) I would beg you to continue it on, but also at the same time it is perfect in its own tragic way. Loved it and I hope to read more from you soon!
| Whirlwind421 chapter 1 . 5/6/2011
That's so sad! Brilliant story though! I love it!
| EyesOfAWolf202 chapter 1 . 5/6/2011
Hey, me again! I need to leave you alone and I'm sorry for my *cough-cough* stalkerish tendencies. THIS IS EPIC! I've been wanting a reveal!fic where Arthur isn't so accepting. You have answered my prayers!
I 3 you IceCreamDoodle13!
| DragonflyonBreak chapter 1 . 5/6/2011
Aww, that's sad! I thought that this was really good. It was different and new and I like that a lot. The ending... brilliant. Freakishly sad for both Merlin and Arthur. I love it. Excellent job.
| sesshouluver chapter 1 . 5/6/2011
awwwww that was sad! But it was a good plot! Great job!
| Cwam chapter 1 . 5/6/2011
Brilliant! A very good portrayal of Arthur's character, I hope they do something similar in the TV series.
