| Purina chapter 15 . 1/26/2012
I loved the ending. I absolutely hate it when couples just get back together so quickly in the end. There's just no pride in giving in so easily. Though I do like the notion that they'll get back together eventually. It is all just wonderful.

HONESTLY DID NOT SEE DOMS AS THE KILLER...DAMN THATS A GOOD TWIST
| Concolor44 chapter 15 . 8/4/2011
I agree totally. Dick was WAY too much of one for her to just go, "Oh, well, he's learned his lesson. Let the lovin' commence!"
No. Not to put too fine a point on it, but THAT is simply not on.
He needs to do some serious self-examination. Many of his habits are deeply ingrained, and will take time to change. Perhaps a lot of time. She needs to stay clear of any sort of intimacy with him unless and until that happens. Maybe even then.
Though I don't really care for the Robin character you created here, you handled it skillfully. Kudos for that.

| black rose-raven angel chapter 15 . 8/3/2011
It's over. I kind of can't believe that...
I am so glad you ended it like you did. Best RobStar centric story I've ever read.
I don't know if I should dance or mope because it's over!
So I'll do both! Somehow!
| Kryalla Orchid chapter 15 . 8/3/2011
This is a rather... open ending story...
Starfire's reluctant offer of returning to friend leaves a bad taste. She's conceeding because she's genuinely confused and wants to believe him and be strong, but he's pushing the point, I can see that. Which is another manipulating move.
My biggest... problem, which is probably a deliberate move on your part (very sneaky and evil), is that no where Robin actually admits he was wrong in his behaviour. For me, unless he did that, I wouldn't even consider being his friend again.
Especially with that last line. Winning her back. It shouldn't be about winning her back, it should be about regaining her trust.
In my mind, he's already lost, just from that last line.
This was an absolutely brilliant ansgty piece. You genuininely made me dislike Robin's character in this, playing off the character flaws we're all aware that he has. All Robin's have a lesson to learn about emotions and how not to use your girlfriends, this one learnt that lesson too late, and hasn't taken it to heart. He has very little redeeming characteristics and although he's upset he's lost Starfire, I can't see signs of remorse. Not really.
I feel really sorry for Starfire. I'm glad for the power you've had her show in this, she's such a strong character.
Thank X'hal for ZombieDick's. He'll always treat you right!

Thank you very much for that ending. It was very appropriate for the story. I am so glad you went with that approach. It avoided the cliche' ending, but wasn't totally hopeless either.
Robin's got his work cut out for him that's for sure.
Good story, too bad its over.
| Star of Airdrie chapter 15 . 8/3/2011
Good for Starfire!
Loved every minute, it's a classic
| Star of Airdrie chapter 14 . 8/2/2011
Nope didn't see it coming at all, very nice. Wow what a great job!
| black rose-raven angel chapter 14 . 8/2/2011
I would have never guessed that Doms was the culprit!
But now that I think about it, it makes perfect sense!
It's kind of sickening though, him being 41 and all...
Kind of odd, um...
:( wahh! only one more chapter? Noo!
All hail Dr. Evil!
Can't wait for the next, and last, chapter!
| black rose-raven angel chapter 13 . 8/2/2011
Is that whole not being a prize from her being one for the Citadel? Makes sense...
Yay! Robin is finally wisening up! I'm glad. (although it sucks that it took him so long...
| Concolor44 chapter 14 . 8/2/2011
Did I see it coming? Not exactly. It was one of several options floating around, but certainly not the most likely. Doms played it VERY cool ... but then a sociopath can do that flawlessly.
Just wondering ... how come Star didn't just blast him? Or blast his gun hand? Too shocked? To disoriented at discovering that the POLICE CHIEF was the killer? That would be my guess.
So now all that's left is the denouement, huh?
| Michelle Anders chapter 14 . 8/2/2011
Stupid Doms, I knew he was the killer and he wanted Starfire.
I'm happy that Robin and Starfire are now content with each other. There's no more angst between them.
