Well, read through all three chapters, and like how you've approached it. Especially like the argument at the truck in this chapter, and how Ennis was forced to think through things, and then later admitted they had to work on their relationship. The immediate problem seems to be that the argument happened at the truck, outside the convenience store where those guys were, and they're still in the motel in Signal. After both heard those guys talking, it probably would have been best to check out of the motel and hightail it to another town and get a motel room there. Have a funny feeling about that. And about staying with OMT on the Twist ranch. But that's what a good story is all about. Nice start; I'll be reading along.
