But Snape wouldn't listen anyway, in the mood he's in - that he's always in with Harry - or even wouldn't believe a word Harry said. "Herein lies the last will and testament of Lilian "Lily" Anne Potter (nee Evans)." Lilian? Isn't 'Lilian' a dirivitive of 'Lily-Anne', so therefore you have 'Lily-Anne Anne Potter'? Just saying... I'm assuming none of this is canon, as I've never heard it before, but if I am wrong, well, please continue... ;) Looking forward to knowing why Lily would choose Snape, even at the end of that list of potential guadians. And especially how and why James would agree too... Fantastic imagery and characterisation... I want more! :D misundersnape... |

And Harry snuck a look at the envelope and letter whilst Snape's back was turned - good, good... now Severus cannot 'foister' him onto someone else... ;) Well, not without at least answering a few sticky, loaded questions, anyway! lol Oh, I actually read the first chap earlier today, but then was distracted by my 11 y/old girl's sleepover so I forgot to say, but I highly doubt a 'portable dvd player' was available back in those days. Perhaps to the ultra rich, but not widely available to working class families. They're a more recent technological toy. I like how Dudley is distracted by it, but I hope you might be able to find another, more era appropriate toy instead. Perhaps a Nintendo Game Boy? I think that was when they were first out. Anyway - that's certainly my only gripe about this fic - in all other aspects it is sensational! misundernsape... |

He's been 'foistered' on Snape, the man that surely hates him and makes his life at Hogwarts difficult. Lovely! Can't wait to read more... I'm off... misundersnape... |

Well, eventually most whiney, self-centered kids become human, though you couldn't tell by Harry at this point in his career. I'm sure Severus longs to lock him in his bedroom with a Silencing Charm, and I wouldn't blame him for a minute. By the way, "Lily" is not short for "Lilian." It is a name in its own right. |
