Absolutely wonderful, this is the perfect example of a well-written fan story. There are no loose ends, it has a consistent and interesting plot that keeps appearing in tiny, seemingly meaningless ways that sneak up on the reader when they least expect it, and it has great character development. Though you missed a few canon details pertaining to the actual history of Marceline, all the changes made are necessary and well thought out for the direction of the plot. Well done, not many FanFiction authors can capture the important details needed to write a good story, you've obviously studied writing or are extremely gifted in it. I look forward to reading more of your works!

This is a good story! It manages to pack a lot of emotion into a relatively small number of words, and so far everyone seems pretty much in-character and canon-compliant. Well, except for the idea that the Ice King could have ever found someone to have a biological child with. XD
