| TheMagicManWithThePlan chapter 12 . 2/4
This story is quite impressive. Only problem is the lack of Shaggy; although he is ones of the listed main characters for this particular story. I'm curious about him. Is he only there for moral support and in an earlier chapter you stated that he was able to keep up with a werewolf; Combat knowledge possibly? I'm unsure because we don't see enough of him. I feel like I get more coverage of Freddie. No offense to the guy; but like I pointed out earlier, Velma; Shaggy.
Keep up the good work because you are a verity talented writer.

I hope you continue this one day.

not to tell you how to write your story but...wtf this is scooby doo not freaking velma's freak out show ive heard scooby's name like 10 times in this whole story and hes the main freaking character u have him eating bones so u dont have to write about him i get the whole lisp thing he has is probably irritating and all of course u could just make a authors note saying your not doing it bc its tedious to do so and that youll just have him talk normal bc of years of finally being taught how to pronunciate words correctly...bam put scooby in this damn fic

I have to say I was quite pleasantly surprised to stumble on this tale, and I do hope you're still keeping it going. A more mature take on my favorite childhood guitar, complete with dashes of Lovecraft and classic movie references? Sign me up. If I have one complaint, it's that there's not nearly enough Scooby in things. That, and the number of times Velma is getting knocked unconscious is just getting silly. Either way, can't wait to see what you've got up sleeve next for this, and best of luck with it.

| BiblioMatsuri chapter 12 . 7/29/2013
"...she acknowledged that she was most certainly not herself..." - great, three guesses who Velma's acting like here.
Oh. Nuts. Herald of sleeping elder gods getting involved, and does anyone else want to go hide under a rock now? Maybe in China? Or I hear Australia's not too bad in the winter.
Fred and Daphne are lost and carting around a barely injured man who is related to what once was a man. And spider-bats right outside the school. Slugs. (Note: "slugs" used here as a substitute curse word.)
A legitimately terrifying Scooby-Doo horror story, cosmic horror story (clearly influenced by the Mystery Inc. cartoon) set against the backdrop of one of the archetypes of modern horror stories. I don't know if the proper reaction is a fangirlish squee or a shriek of terror followed by yanking the covers over my head and staying there. I very much look forward to future chapters, whenever they may come. - Matsuri

...no. (Wait, how? You stated in an earlier author note that "the girls would be meeting up" - oh. Dear sh*t. You never said anything about the gang managing to stay human through all this. Darn my overactive imagination sometimes.)
Just realized: Revolta/Velma, the Other/me, the mirror mistaking her for the witch, Velma changing when Sibella went after her books (knowledge is power) - she's going to have to face the witch at some point, isn't she?
| BiblioMatsuri chapter 9 . 7/29/2013
Hmm... the sight/vision motif returns. (Was that the birth of the Witch, or another dark ritual in another castle entirely? The first is bad enough.) And the repetition of the words "You will do nicely", to Velma(/the witch), from a dark figure. Oh bad, oh bad, oh bad.
| BiblioMatsuri chapter 7 . 7/29/2013
The thing that used to be John Rivet is indeed plot-important.
So that's how the gang is going to meet up.
...Oh. Bleep. The Witch is just the beginning, isn't it?
| BiblioMatsuri chapter 6 . 7/29/2013
Interesting. I wonder which weapon is meant for whom? Stone manacles might have to do with Fred's traps, and the eye motif on the blade makes me think "Velma" just on principle, but I haven't a clue what the others might be meant for. (Question: Does double-ended mean double-bladed as in two attached blades, or double-edged as in two edges?)
The dream: Hmm... A visual expression of Velma's relentless search for knowledge (and to Tartarus with the consequences), or something more, ah, foreboding? (The second one.)
And freaking yay. 'Cause you can't have a horror-movie vampire without a creepy possessive psycho stalker-crush, and Velma being the prideful young woman she is, doesn't even think of telling someone that one of Shaggy's students wants her very, very dead.
| BiblioMatsuri chapter 5 . 7/29/2013
Worldbuilding: nonhuman viewpoints, social gaffes and the effects thereof. The stages are going to come up again, aren't they? (Especially with the black Pharaoh whatever-the-hey-that-is around, and Tanis potentially hitting the rage stage, and who knows what else.)
And now on top of the darkness, there's a creepy spider-witch. (And now I'm remembering some of the other bits of nastiness the gang ran into in the movies like the crazy vampire witches, and never mind the witch's ghost.)
| BiblioMatsuri chapter 4 . 7/29/2013
Daphne knows someone named Vincent van Ghoul (which of course has absolutely nothing to do with that unholy mess at the Ghoul School, obviously). And a pharaoh's face "obscured by a black cloud" - yep, nothing at all to do with the black figure. ...Anyone else feel like reaching for a flashlight, here?
| BiblioMatsuri chapter 3 . 7/29/2013
Argh, return of the painful puns.
The backup glasses are going to come up again later, aren't they?
Refined!Daphne is interesting (and a mystery in and of herself at this point). Fred's characterization makes so much sense, and I'm with Daphne on the baseball bat bit.
Last but not least: Velma has caught the interest of a Humanoid Abomination. OH, SH*T.
