|Reviews for The Dawn of an Eclipse|
| JemDragons chapter 22 . 12/16/2015
Ooooo, I hadn't realized this was still being updated. Interesting.
| Skyress1 chapter 11 . 4/19/2015
Well there's a highlight... NOT... that way flint will get killed and stellaris will go mad... I just feel it. If they continued doing what they had done in the past.
| Skyress1 chapter 10 . 4/19/2015
Well, that was not unexpected. A child does know when they have been betrayed, even if it takes a while for them to realise.
| Skyress1 chapter 9 . 4/19/2015
Poor Flint. Poor Stellaris. No-one to fend for them, no-one to help... sad, sad chapter...
| Skyress1 chapter 8 . 4/19/2015
Well, that's one way to get the whole family killed. I mean, none of this would have happened if the parents just let that matter go. After all, Kludd did nit turn evil after one push, especially not an accidental one.
| Skyress1 chapter 7 . 4/19/2015
That was loathsome. But not the fact that he let Flint live, but the fact that both parents let him die. No parent does that, owl or otherwise...
| Skyress1 chapter 6 . 4/19/2015
Okay... now I don't know what is more unfair...
| Skyress1 chapter 5 . 4/19/2015
Poor Stellaris... she does not deserve this... which owl does? I feel so sorry for her...
| Skyress1 chapter 3 . 4/19/2015
It is a rather awesome sounding name... Stellaris... great chapter and I bet the next one will be just as good if not better.
| Skyress1 chapter 2 . 4/19/2015
Awe... that sounds adorable... great start, lot's of detail, I like it!
| Guest chapter 2 . 10/30/2014

| ashthetyto chapter 23 . 6/12/2013
| ashthetyto chapter 19 . 2/3/2013
Are you posting a sequel? Because this is probably one of the most gripping and thrilling hell of a story. Seriously, this story is brilliant, especially because it's from the P.O.V of a pure one. Flipping brilliant.
| blackbite10 chapter 19 . 1/31/2013
Ok so apperently people have found my reviews a bit confusing in the past as to wheather my reviews are good or bad so let me just start by saying DAWN OF THE ECLIPSE IS VERY VERY VERY GOOD...in fact its so good that i think I'll be rubbing a few choice noses in it who said that i just don't like stories, YOU IGNORANT LITTLE BASTARDS! I was reading while you were still zoning out watching telitubbies!
ok now that thats out of the way. This stroys major strength and the reason its one of my personal favorites on here is the fact that its so unpredictable. nothings just shown right too you and when it is its at a completely unexpected time which makes for far more interesting reading then the next chapter just blatantly showing everything the previeus chapter hinted at. Some charactors are killed off but its done so elequently that its almost (dare i say beautifuly) done. I suddenly found my self very absorbed in dawn of the eclipse like a big jellatinous cube and found i want to "just read one more chapter".
Flint himself is a fasinating charactor with so many traits that i dare say he may be one of the best charactorized i've ever seen. Possibly the best even. He's strong yet vulnerable, weak yet fearless, supreamly loyal yet doubting and he pulls it off seemlessly. In fact all the charactors are portrayed extremely well and seem to have very realistic personalities.
with continuety the story kind of hiccups a bit with the one part that jumps ahead and when the author took a break it really showed in the begining of the next chapter so thats something that needs to be looked at but its certainly not a deal breacker.
One thing i did find anoying is the fact that the story's continously trying to make me feel bad for the pure ones whom are on par with Natzis where you can kill fifty of them, shave off there faces and show them to their crying orphans while killing their dog and still not have even the slightest hit to the moral compass.
And while I'm on the complain train the fucking ending pissed me off because it just kind of drops off with nothing really being answered and yes I know the author said he would write a follow up but I've had so many serieses (God thats a terrible word) do this and then just go "fuck it" and not do it and its fucking frustrating and authors, directors and developers should all just pack it in with cliff hanger "ooh you have to come back and read, play, watch the next one endings"! (Mostly because there's no garrenty I'll ever see the sequel)
ok see why i had to start this by saying the story was very good?
your charactors are great but you can always improve, right? I think if you really want to you should approach Kathryn Lasky with this however my advice to you is to make your own series now that you have the great skills and take what you learned here to apply to your own original book because you'll never have the respect as an author of a knock-off fan story that you will as a writer of your own books.
Either way KEEP WRITING YOU'RE GOOD AT IT!
think that got the message across for how i feel about this story? :D
