Yes! LOVE the S5 reference! Just what a hospitalized Sammy scene needed _ This little story is so endearing. Even though it still had elements of your previous stories, it never failed to be refreshing and SO spot-on with the characterizations (which, as I will say again, is something a LOT of SPN fanfiction authors miss the mark on completely). So thank you for providing a perfect little gem of a story before I go to sleep and dream of Sam and Dean cuddles

Love that scene when Sam woke up alone in the car and settled down only after he saw Dean; and also how Dean was fussing all around Sam and demanded from him not to lie about his health _

What a faboulous chapter! I enjoyed the detailed description of the hotel. It was a most unexpected ending for me. I never would have guessed it at the start. It was wonderful to see John brought into the mix, even if the boys won't remember. This was such a great story. I'm looking forward to more summer reading from you!

What a wonderful ending!

I loved the description of the hotel the brothers were staying and what a surprise finding out John Winchester was there to see his boys. That was a nice twist.

Dean did a wonderful job of taking care of Sam. I felt sorry for Sam when he woke in the car and wondered where was his brother.

Patch was a great character. I loved his accent.

Thanks for sharing your story with us. It was so much fun to visit the brothers again in the first season and be reminded why we all fell in love with the show.

Loved the story and LOVED the ending. I'm always so happy when John's added in and is portrayed as a father instead of a general. :) Nice job on writing the accent as well. I could hear the melodic tones as I read. I have such a hard time with accents and love when somebody brings it across so clearly. Love the idea of John showing up to check on his boys, especially hidden by magic as he is here. Very JW. Two thumbs up on that.

Big Daddy Winchester got short shrift on the series, thanks mostly to JDM's career success elsewhere IMHO, so it's great to have stories like this where logical character reaction/progression fuel actions rather than actor availability.
