Yes, Snape can grade in peace when the Hufflepuffs and Ravens are on board, which helps him rest up for the Gryffindor/Slytherin classes.
Although if you look at the actual numbers, the class load for Potions, a lab class, is um...overwhelming.

hahaha, isn't it interesting that sometimes the more dangerous combination is safer, simple because people know it is dangerous and therefore are on their toes to prevent disasters
though why they never took the easier solution of hiring two teachers and completely separate the classes, i'll never know
