Reviews for A Noble a Thief
Kristina Angelina chapter 1 . 7/15/2015
Malik no! Why did you marry a girl?! You were supposed to marry Bakura!

Malik: And just who do you think you are telling me who I should marry?

A FANGIRL THAT'S WHO!

Malik: o_O"""

Ok well where do I star? I really liked it. It was well written and this was the first time I read a citronshipping fic, and I'm happy to say that it was this one. I like your view of their relationship as well. I like the clear differences between Marik and Bakura, and the way you stated them through Marik's thoughts(oh and sorry abt calling Malik, Marik. Its an old habbit). Its definetly given me somethings to think about. I can't wait to see what you have next for this fic.

I love this so much. Your writing is always so great, and I love the way you characterize them and their relationship.

YOU HAVE BEEN CHOSEN.

Your story is now part of Versatile, a C2 for in-character, canon compliant, well-written Thiefshipping!

Thanks for sharing such a great story!

“His nakedness is of no concern- his gold affords him rank enough.” Ah, Malik, you bastard; he’s so sure of himself. I know you know this but I really like the way you write Malik. He’s definitely no uke here.

“Malik takes his mouth in what is more bite than kiss, alcohol and then blood mingling between them.” CITRON/THIEFSHIPPING THE WAY IT OUGHT TO BE. Just in general, I really prefer this rough kind of half hate half love for the, I think it suits them SO much better.

“A difference. Malik no longer feels pride in the destruction he wrought.” This is an interesting line of thought. And it’s happened throughout the fic as well, the differences and similarities between Bakura and Malik. I can’t wait to see you go on with it and continue it xD

“The usual arrogance is gone from his voice- he sounds tired.” This was something else that I found interesting. I like that Bakura doesn’t just come back and REMEMBER everything and everyone. [But of course he remembers Malik ;)]

This put a big smile on my face. The tone is just perfect... I like that although neither trust each other, there's this simple sense of inevitability about them coming together again. Good read!
SetsuntaMew chapter 1 . 6/3/2011
This is great so far! I can't wait for more!
LadySunami chapter 1 . 5/29/2011
I like your style. It's different. Will you be continuing this story?

And duh there is always more room for BakuMari. Even since I became an abridged series fan, I can't get enough of these two. Citronshipping or thiefshipping, it doesn't matter.
luna chapter 1 . 5/29/2011

CITRONSHIPPING! FATHER MALIK! CITRONSHIPPING! FATHER MALIK! CITRONSHIPPING! FATHER MALIK! 8DD!

Fuh, this is going to be a hard review to write, because I loved EVERYTHING. I love the way you highlighted the similarities between Malik and Bakura, all the more so now that Bakura's lost the Zorc-part of himself. Malik's relationship with his daughter...actually, I like the way she INSULTS him and he just takes it because, yeah, he probably IS a pretty shitty father. Just in that he has no idea what he's supposed to be doing. He obviously loves her.

I...I like the COMPLEXITY you're giving the Citron relationship. That Malik regrets what he's done, that there's definitely more than a little self-loathing mixed in with all the arrogance, but that he's attracted to the pieces of himself he sees in Bakura. I like that neither of them really know what to do with themselves now that the war's over...Malik can occupy himself with clan-business, but he doesn't seem satisfied with his life. Penance for his earlier crimes, maybe?

Also unf, Citronshipping fight/sex scene.

There are so many little details I love here. Rishid being a teacher. The pride with which Bakura points out that he toppled a dynasty. Malik's...sort of quiet dissatisfaction with his life. Meritaten being adorable. At any rate. Faved forever, and can't wait for the next chapter.
