| Mana's Madness chapter 1 . 10/26/2013
Aww, so sad... But I like how Yuugi rationalises him leaving.
| Guest chapter 1 . 7/19/2012
This is so sad, and so beautiful... :'(

Lovely and very well written, loved it!
The narrative and dialogues are great, I just wish you could write more about this one
| Demus chapter 1 . 9/13/2011
Incredibly powerful piece. I love the way you've chosen to tell this story, it has a lightness of touch without sacrificing a bit of its depth and density. It is actually, properly devastating, and completely brilliant for it. Marvellous
| Mahayana chapter 1 . 6/12/2011
"Yugi has fading burns from a warehouse fire and faint bruises around his neck from a heavy necklace. They'll fade. There will soon be no mark on him to indicate how much he was loved. Almost as if none of it ever happened."
Oh man. Potent. So very potent. I think that's my favourite line/story from the whole thing. Just beautifully handled. 3

That was fantastic. It was, in my mind, the perfect expression of the connection between Yugi and Yami - I'm also a fan of the manga, and there are some really beautiful moments in there between them. I've always had this idea that their connection (even if it was not sexual in cannon) was a love and bond that went beyond anything else, beyond friends, siblings, lovers. And especially in the Doma arc (and I like the Japanese version thankyou!) it was surprising to see that Yami had become just as emotionally vulnerable as Yugi, but only where Yugi was concerned.
You've expressed the need for one another so well.
Whooo, I don't usually write reviews this long, but it's just so good to find a fic that's on the same wavelength and that has nothing to do with AU or Yami being a vampire.
Keep up the amazing work :D

"The Shadows are the ones who punish. I simply bring the guilty to their doorstep."
First off, huge props on that quote. I’ve read quite a bit of fanfic and I’ve only ever found maybe one other quote that’s comes even close to being as epically cool as that one is. So major props on that.
Second, "I helped a bit. But it was you, aibou. It was always you."
That quote is epic too. I think that you did an incredible job on capturing their personalities, especially that of the Pharaoh. He is a truly difficult character to write and the intricacies of his personality are often left unwritten in many a work. I think that you did quite well with bringing it out in such a short work. You also did really well with Yugi’s personality.
Overall, this was a very good fic and I’m quite glad I took the time to read it. It was a bit shorter than what I normally like, but it was still very good. It had an interesting sort of abstract feeling to it and I enjoyed that very much.

4kids doesnt own yugioh, kazuki takahashi does. four kids was sued by the japanese company it scammed a bunch of money off of and im pretty sure it doesnt exist anymore. just a heads up :)

Loved it! :D I think they were both EXACTLY in character. It was perfect in a nice, heart-wrentching way. Not exactly sad...but hopeful.
You know, your right. He never really got to apologize. I think Alane was feelign the same way, because one of the chapters in her story "Little Baby Plot Bunnies" is about just that: Yami feeling badforwhat he has done and Yugi was there to comfort him.
Sometimes I wish I was better at writing angsty stuff, but I'll leave that to her. I'd much rather drown myself in fluff and kill myself with cuteness.
