I like it just as much as both movies. I also made a story that is based on Wyatt Earp at the Ok Corral it's called
gunfight at Boomstone.

Very cool crossover and so much backstory there. Buck is so there for Chris no matter what he decides to do and going to support his brother would be something Chris would do. Chris will deal with his feelings over not getting there in time. Glad you won and posted this fic here. Hope you will continue with this idea.
