Reviews for Twilight Camp |

![]() ![]() ![]() Very emotional! And very well told. Hogan was all business still, while Newkirk showed some of his usual hesitancy in going out again. I wonder when the news is going to hit them. And is this a loop where they always revisit the camp? I'd like to see the other heroes' reactions to the news, too, especially Carter's, although it's fine where it ends. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hello. Writing to you from the Winter 2021-2022 Reviewathon. A very thrilling story with a surprising end. I was so absorbed in your story, it has a good narrative, and I was so shocked, once I realised that Newkirk and Colonel Hogan are dead. I couldn't stop reading and I felt so sad for Kinch, LeBeau and Carter, loosing two of their best friends. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Nice. Well done. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Eerie, but well told. Though I'm not quite sure why they have to go back into the woods... |
![]() ![]() ![]() Aw, dang. Poor Newkirk and Hogan. They don't even know that they're dead, yet. I wonder want the rest of the gang would do without them? Great, yet sad, story. |
![]() ![]() ![]() So cool and sad! I really liked it:) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Just now catching up. This story was sad & haunting; it makes you wonder what happens if you die and don't know it. The scene with Kinch was a nice touch, especially when he said 'goodbye.' At least if they suffered, they didn't remember it. Nice job! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh, my, how sad! I finally "got it" after looking at the reviews, that they were ghosts. Then I reread the last portion and it was all the more heartbreaking. And the first part about them being sure they got one from the patrol - it all came together! The mark of the best of writing. Great piece. Poor Hogan and Newkirk... |
![]() ![]() ![]() Very well written sad piece. You and your son did well. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I don't usually like this type of story but this was excellently told. It gave me the wonderful vibes I get from watching some of my favorite Twilight Zone episodes. It was a really eerie but beautiful story and the ending really hit me. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Okay, I won't say I approve anyone killing my Newkirk, or any other Hero whatsoever. However, I like the way you put us into the story. Somehow, it reminds me of "Rosencranz and Guildenstern Are Dead." Excellent work. The ending is just enough to wrap up the entire story. No more words to say. :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() I am officially intrigued. More, please. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh wow. Don't want to give anything away in the review but until that one line..."Newkirk," Hogan interrupted, not unkindly, "We have to go back." I wasn't sure what was going on. Great job to you and your son. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This reminds me of a MASH episode, where a solider can't figure out why nobody can hear him. My compliments to you and your son. This reads quite nicely. |
![]() ![]() ![]() OMG...and that's it? When I saw the 'complete' up there, I was like, NO! LOL! What an idea, tell your son he's pretty imaginative! ;) |
