Reviews for It Takes a Lickin' and Keeps on Tickin'
ziggy.uk chapter 2 . 6/5/2011
Another great chapter. Not surprised Dean got Sam out the hospital as soon as he could, though it couldn't have been pleasant for Sam going out as a dead body, complete with tag on his toe! Loved Sam's little flashbacks, and of course his dad let him play soccer as he kept the trophy in his 'secret' lockup! And gotta love Dean getting Sammy one shot of the good stuff before he has to start taking the tablets!

Will catch up on final chapter tomorrow, late here now!

ooooh my gosh, love love love love. I am in love with this story. It is wonderful. Touching, moving, brotherly concern, light humour and tons of tender moments, Just perfection wrapped up in a little ball. Great job!

vonnie836 chapter 3 . 6/5/2011
Rough recovery for Sam, but with Dean there it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Some really great brotherly moments there, you really nailed them. My favorite part though was the end with Sam remembering his dad giving him the watch. Really extraordinary and completely awesome. Hugs, Vonnie
CeCe Away chapter 3 . 6/5/2011
Awesomely terrific. I especially enjoyed the snippets of memories that filtered through Sam's delirium. And what's not to love about the boys hunting and hurting?
vonnie836 chapter 2 . 6/5/2011
Loved the little inserts of good memories about his dad that Sam had while asleep or unconscious. Just a nice way to show that dad wasn't always the bad guy and Sam really loved the guy. And again, I really enjoyed Dean being so awesome and taking care of his little brother, while Sam did his best, yet just couldn't hide how weak and sick he really was. Wonderful chapter. Hugs, Vonnie

Great start! Cool MOTW and good dose of injured Sam; trust him to be unlucky and get caught by the creature before it headed for Dean and he killed it. And loved how you had Sam desperate that his watch was not taken, with the few possessions they have and the inscription it figured it would mean a lot to him.

Will have to catch the next couple of chapters later!

A joy to read - Thank you
beyondtired chapter 2 . 6/5/2011
Love the back and forth between the present and his memories. Especially love that there doesn't seem to be any sort of order or reason behind the memories - no "this reminded him of the time" and into the flashback, just going back to times that were special. So good.
