This is such an amazing squee-worthy story. I love Rory and I love Amy and seeing Rory musing on their relationship and the relatively common fandom belief that he can do so much better was wonderful. The Doctor returned only three days after Rory and Amy got together? That would better explain why he's her 'sort of' boyfriend than if they had been together for much longer. I also love how since Amy hates saying gooey things that she gets everything out in bursts. Rory's speech at the end was absolutely amazing.

I am completely in love with Rory, and I think you absolutely captured him perfectly. This sums up his relationship with Amy so beautifully. My own (very, very minor quibble) would be Amy telling him that someday she would show him properly that she loved him. Although she did end up doing that exactly as you depicted, she herself would not have been aware of her own feelings in the interim between the Atraxi and when the Doctor returned for her. In Amy's Choice, when Amy is devastated by Rory's death in the dream world, she says that she really didn't know just what he meant to her.

But honestly, that is such a little thing. And what you've written is so beautiful and sums them up so well that it really doesn't matter. Excellent job, and thank for posting. I'll definitely be returning to this often.
