This story seems to commemorate Elizabeth Sladen who died the year you wrote it. I did not find out she had died until last summer. Shame she went early.
| BenRG chapter 1 . 11/14/2013
Another friend gone, another tragedy in a list that is already too long and sometimes leaves him weeping in helpless pain under the control console...
Another footstep on the road to a tired, broken old man standing on a cliffside and declaring: "What I did, I did without choice... In the name of sanity and of peace..."
| ReaperCreeper chapter 1 . 5/1/2012
Oh, I love it so much. It's sad and sweet - and reminds of fact the Doctor is still one person, no eleven different men.

That was really sweet and a little sad, but still lovely.

I liked the story... The humor you added in with Rory, Amy, and the butterflies (why are there butterflies in the TARDIS? That does sound like 11 to me...) is an important uplift to the story, seeing as the last line was a downer (though very heartfelt... I sent a silent prayer up to Lis in rememberance.)
I had no problem envisioning the 1976 scene... I loved the picture you painted with Bessie...
