There are two types of 'adventure' dungeon. People are so used to games like AD&D that they never think about the difference.

There's the test type and then there's the guard type.

Games tend to have the test type in them - a series of challenges protecting rewards. That's what's on the third floor corridor. But that's how you give what you're guarding to a worthy challenger, not how you keep it safe from being taken.

Guard type dungeons are just plain LETHAL. There is no way through the traps unless you outsmart the designer, not just solve a puzzle.

The only challenge in that entire series that was of the guard type was Fluffy - and his weakness was so well known even a well-read Muggle could have beaten him. Every other trap and challenge was of the test variety.

Put a silencing charm on Fluffy, ward the Devil's Snare against fire, make sure that the right key isn't in the third room at all (and make the keys kill anyone who meddles with them). Use lethifolds in place of trolls. Make the riddle a lie and put deadly poisons in all of the bottles. Remove all the oxygen in the final room and replace it with nitrogen to maintain the air pressure while warding it to prevent new spells from being cast.

Those traps would have killed dozens of students and Voldemort himself. They would have kept the stone safe.

week. Do you know how many points Severus has taken from students? Check the counters. It's over nine thousand!" Her voice had risen as she tried to
keep the anger and audacity in check.
"What? Nine thousand?" Dumbledore looked at Snape in disbelief."

"Yes Professor McGonagall." Harry answered back. "No magic on the train because I haven't been sorted yet. When I get off the train, find Hagrid. No
spending more than three Galleons on treats because we will be eating once we get into the castle and sorted."

No sp-sp-spending One-Hundred-and-Fifty Dollars on Candy!? What the hell kind of irresponsible idiot is McGonagall?

Corrective Backfires, indeed! Now that Harry and the 'Claws have shown (with the 'Puffs) just how easy it is to completely trash an already broken system (yet another thing to lay at Dumble's muddy feet-who in their right mind would let Snape teach children?), I expect open warfare to break out. And, Dumbles will do basically nothing except twinkle and look sad, as per usual, until there's blood in the hallways.

Great story. It's nice to see an overpowered!Harry fic that actually retains a sense of dramatic tension.

I don't understand how Voldy could keep Draco's body after Draco died. When he was in Quirrell, he was willing to drink unicorn blood to keep him alive.

Flamel got overconfident, he should have taken Harry (can hear and speak to snake skin) and Shiva with him.

They need to contact the Flamels, who have been around so long they should recognize the problem and have a better solution than waiting for months.
