I'm quite sure you got inspiration for Shiva from the final fantasy games. I'm not familiar with all of them, but I am familiar with 10. Quite the interesting crossover.

Interesting start to what promises to be a good story. I have read quite a number of Harry Potter stories, including crossovers, and most have been good. It looks as if it will likely take a few chapters to get all your main characters and store line fleshed out, but with the hints provided I like where I see this going.

I'm not a Hundi, and have never been to India, so I don't know fmuch about these things, but from what I've read, the tika (or tilaka) is not the same thing as the bindi, which is what married women wear. A bindi can be a paste (in which case it looks like a dot) or a jewel, and it is always worn between the eyes. A tika is always a paste, and it can be applied in a number of different patterns. It's usually applied to the forehead, but it can also be placed on the neck, arms, or torso as well.

Why would anyone want to kill you? It's entirely realistic for someone raised as Harry was. It's actually Rowling's depiction of Harry at school that I found unrealistic. While it made for a good story, the truth is, abused kids do NOT act the way she wrote him.

In this chapter, Harry first touches his armlet to cast the shield, but wasn't the whole point of this to make it so he didn't have to? Flamel said as much at the beginning of the arc.

You mentioned earlier that Shiva appears as her Spiran (FFX) Aspect, if this is accurate to her experiences, then it makes sense that she would not be familiar with 'Crumple Horned Snorkacks', who from Luna's description, appear to be Moogles, since outside of folklore and some merchandise, Moogles do not appear to be in Spira at all.

Soooo... Shot in the dark, but Phoenix, avatar of Life and Rebirth through Fire... Fawkes is linked to the Flamels with the "Philosopher's Stone" actually being the Phoenix Materia, right?
