Reviews for Harry Potter and the Summoner's Stone

he is far to meek and spinless for my taste . i thought this was a bad ass harry story but, guess not.

The timing of Harry's Cloak and the appearance of the Mirror is very striking to me, looking back.

And not in the sense of "Dumbledore is a master manipulator who wants Harry to find the Mirror."

No, more in the sense of what Dumbledore likely sees in the mirror, and what giving up the Cloak actually means to him.

It means giving up his own heart's desire of getting back Ariana, and giving up his obsessive search for the Hallows.

(That resolve, is, of course tested later by finding the Stone in the Gaunt ring, but the point still stands.)

I knew that Rowling planned for most of the series more than most, but this is either a tremendous coincidence or brilliant writing.

I'm assuming the crossover material is Final Fantasy, as I recognize a few of the words, but I find it exhilarating to have absolutely no idea what is going on besides what Harry already does.
Detsella Morningdew chapter 7 . 9/6/2020
"There are Japanese that focus their magic through hand sigils"

pfft.

Okay, I usually am not totally enthused by Harry getting OP stuff, but so far, you have not changed Harry's actual *character* in any way to make him more assertive or confident, so I am VERY interested.

(I don't particularly like over-competent characters. Confident but not powerful? Great. Powerful but with other issues? Also good. Both? Not so much. Though sometimes such stories can be entertaining if done right regardless.)

This chapter ending was pretty dumb
Aaran St. Vines chapter 5 . 5/8/2020
Dumbledore is a bastard. At best, a dementia plagued incompetent, but probably a manipulative reprobate with slight sadistic leanings.
Fyrebird85 chapter 15 . 4/28/2020
This is stupid. I keep waiting for him to take the SIMPLE solution and turn someboy into a toad, the SECOND spell he did accidentally just by saying the word, but he doesn't.
Books85 chapter 28 . 3/2/2020
This was an interesting and confusing story for me. I enjoyed it and intend to read the sequel, and perhaps read some of the background materials for whatever fandom this was crossed with .

Thanks for writing this and sharing this here.

hi, i really like your storyline, but would just like to point out that there are several facts you have wrong in your Indian mythology part.

Vishnu was the first of the gods to be created. a lotus bloomed from his navel, and from the lotus, Brahma came out. Also, Shiva does not have more than 1 head, although he has 3 eyes. And he's not blue, only his throat is, hence he's called Neelkanth (blue-throated).

i truly don't mean to disrespect you, it just rankles me to see my history and mythology being said wrong...

Good one!

Aaaaaaaannnnnddddd that's a wrap. Yeah - I'd say I got to about, let's say roughly, the third line (?) of this chapter before I couldn't take it anymore. The Summary and First Chapter hooked my attention but nearly everything after seemed to fall flat and completely fail to retain my interest. One thing I enjoyed was the concept of Ravenclaws being able to design their rooms; apart from that, I would say this first quarter of the fanfiction failed in critical areas to be enjoyable to read. Seriously. Inventing lore to allow you to write-off Harry being unable to use wand is sooooooooo goddamn lame. Interesting premise, boring and off-putting execution. Better luck next time.
