Well, I'm here again and I've just reread this. Again, I can't tell you how much I've enjoyed reading this and it's still just as unique and wonderful as I remember. I want to plead for you to write more, but I don't think you'll even read this; so I'm just going to say what's on my mind. I'm incredibly annoyed that I won't be able to find out what happens with James and Harry. What Voldemort wants. How Sirius, Remus and everyone else will react when, because secrets always come out whether we want them to or not, they find out who James and Harry are. And, how it simply fits that Sirius annoys his enemies so much. That's freakin' funny. Nonetheless, I still would choose to read this again and again because it's just that good. Thanks, and bye.

This is the absolutely most unique and intriguing fic I've ever read. The plot, the characters, the..., well, basically everything is so incredibly interesting that I couldn't stop reading it and I was dreading the finish. Unfortunately, I didn't get that far. It's been, what, ten years or there abouts? I'm not sure if you'll even get this or anything, but I wanted to both praise your work and, just a little, yell at you for not finishing a fic that is so completely and totally worth reading again and again as this one is. I sincerely, actually I'm basically pleading, hope that you'll find a way to get my review and finish this one-of-kind fic. I'm a little sorry for being pushy, but not as much as I usually am. I don't really like pressuring someone, but this needs to be finished... unless you want me to cry and ask the world why it's so cruel sometimes? Okay, yes, that was very dramatic, but I felt it was necessary. Here's to hoping you'll you'll start writing this fic again. I really like how you use quotes from the book. Your fic makes sense without them, but it adds a very poignant element.

But I'm not too torn up about it. This story is the first "James Potter comes back to life" story I've ever read (not tried, mind you, I've done a lot of that). The pacing was a little too slow for me, but's what happens when you have character-driven stories. Honestly, Draco, Lucius and Wormtail are awesome characters. My favorite is Lucius, and I love how at the start of the story he is favored but he's walking on eggshells and then everything just blows up in his face. Now this is a great Lucius, and you took his character somewhere that went along with his characterization in the second book (unlike Rowling herself, my God, the mushiness and incompetence of the Malfoy family across books 5, 6, and 7 is, frankly, not up to her usual plotting standards). He's cold and strict but he still cares about Draco. Wormtail's good, I'm just not particularly attracted to his storyline.

On Sirius and Remus, I'm sorry but they're meh. Remus is kind of annoying. Dumbledore too, but he's annoying in a good way (I blame the slow pacing of the story on him and his refusal to release James, although I'm fully aware this is unreasonable, and it's actually what I really liked about it, but I wanted to get farther into the plot before you stopped writing). Snape is cool and kind of funny (as is Voldemort).

Harry is a little bland, but I think a big reason why is that you started focusing more on the Slytherins and he didn't have much to do in Hogwarts. I think that if you'd spend more time developing his character, he would have turned out well. And James is nice too, except his interaction with Sirius was not up to par. I think you went too over the top on that scene. I don't think Sirius would have forgiven himself that easily. I think that's what's bothering me about his character. I don't think Sirius would consider himself worthy of forgiveness. James' scene with Wormtail was great.

As for the whole Slytherin Voldemort/James/Harry connection, I did NOT see that coming. It was obvious from the first chapter that James was of Slytherin's bloodline, but I didn't think it was through Voldemort! The first thing that came to mind was an OC sister for Voldemort.

"Because God forbid Voldemort ever procreates," whispers the HP fanfiction community.

Well, kudos to you for making James Voldemort's son and not Harry. Often what I see is that Voldemort is Harry's father, and then some haphazard explanation for James and Lily is made, and voila, Voldemort's the good guy now. Obviously, this is not so in this story.

I'm not sure about the connection. It could have easily gone into fail territory, what with the angst about it. I mean, it's justified, I would feel horrible too, if Voldemort was my father/grandfather. But character-driven stories are often best when you have lots of action in them, so that characters have to deal with stuff really fast, in a really raw way and then move on, always maintaining that yes, Even of Doom affected Character XYZ he has to do stuff now because Humanity Counts On Him, and Even of Doom will most certainly affect the way he deals with whatever he has to do.

This is such an incredible story! I know it's been forever since you updated, but I'm still hanging out for the possibility that you'll finish this because it's truly awesome :)

Please, please finish this!

This is honestly one of the best fanfictions I've ever read, especially one to do with James being alive. I love it and even though it's been...wow, 8 years, I hope you'll somehow find a way to come back to this fic! Hope you're well, and thank you for writing what you did! ) xx

Damn this is a good story. Can't blame you for losing interest in the series though at Book 5. Seems to be what everyone dislikes about the series. Personally, I believe that this would be a far more interesting year 5 than in canon, and it is a shame that you're not finishing it.
