I liked Columbo/Peter Falk, too. He's just the kind of person we'd want as a next door neighbor. Better than the one we have now!
| ADDAMSFAMILYTREE chapter 1 . 8/24/2016
I too also the late miss Peter Falk. So, as one ''COLUMBO'' fan to another, I don't seem to recall if you know about the short-lived ''MRS. COLUMBO'' series, which starred Kate Mulgrew of both ''RYAN'S HOPE'' as well as ''STAR TREK, VOYAGER'' fame or not, yet it was a great show as far as reruns go. Anyway, the possible teaming of Columbo with Cody Allen, Nick Ryder, and Murray Bozinzky of ''RIPTIDE'' by having Murray's mother being one of Columbo's girl siblings possibly sounds like, an idea to give thought to.

When I discovered you had written a Columbo fic - TWO COLUMBO FICS - you would not believe my reaction it was something between a scream and the sound of a dying whale don't imagine that whatever you do. Columbo is an all-time favourite of mine and this completely did him justice I could practically hear the lines being read. It was genuinely a fantastic read, well done.

This was beautiful. I smiled the whole time. Warm bubbly feelings were welling up in my chest. This was a truly heartwarming short. I could almost hear and see Peter doing his Columbo thing. This does him justice. Rest in peace, Peter. 3

I recall reading about him passing away, I miss him. Thanks this was great, giving me an idea, that might just work.
| Kami the Music Box chapter 1 . 7/26/2013
I've just recently become quite obsessed with this quirky detective, and I think you've really done him justice. Great job, and thanks for this story!
| I Quit I'm gone now Bye chapter 1 . 6/12/2012
I miss Peter Falk so much...
But really good one-shot, I think this is very sweet how you dedicated this to that incredible actor.
R.I.P. Peter Falk

I stumbled on this story completely randomly but really glad I did, because I agree with all your other reviewers, it's wonderful. I can really hear Columbo's gruff voice talking, rifling through his pockets for his badge, engaging in a few bounces of the ball to put Oscar at ease. LOVED the fatherly advice he gave to the boy. I think we all need someone kind to talk to us like that from time to time.
What a lovely story. And a fine tribute to Peter Falk. :)

Perfect story! You do Peter Falk Justice.
| DragonflyonBreak chapter 1 . 2/8/2012
Aw! That was really sweet! I think you did Columbo perfectly! He's such a great guy and I was so depressed when he died last year. I mourned for like a week. :(
Very good story! I sure wish that there were more of them in this fandom.
| Planet Enchilada chapter 1 . 1/29/2012
Lovely story, a proper tribute. As many have said, I could also hear Columbo's voice as I read and he comes across just as he does in the show: the compassionate uncle you want around when things aren't going your way. I salute you, author, on a job well done and for such a brilliant purpose. We'll miss you, Mr. Falk.
| Ingebjorg9 chapter 1 . 1/3/2012
Aww, I loved this, and I could hear Columbo's voice in myhead as I read it.
RIP, Peter Falk, we'll miss you x

This is such a sweet story :) I've really enjoyed the show "Columbo" and I know we'll all miss Peter Falk very much. I do like how you've captured his character in this. It just shows his awesomeness :P
| GrimlockX4 chapter 1 . 9/4/2011
Very good story that you dedicated to Peter Falk, my mother grew up watching his show back when television didn't needed sexual content, drugs, graphic violence etc for entertainment.
Those were the better days back when things where a LOT simpler than they are today.
| Weaver Blyx chapter 1 . 7/27/2011
Really sweet little story! You capture Columbo's personality very well. I can actually hear Peter Falk speaking the dialogue. Columbo has certainly earned a place among the most beloved detectives of all time, and as long as writers like you keep up the good work (and folks still have good taste in movies) I doubt if we'll ever forget him.
Thanks for the work!
