Fortunately, I enjoy heart-wrenching stories so I think it's fantastic and artfully heartbreaking as ever. I was wondering though, how they'd simply agree to be executed like that with little guarantee for peace. I thought he might have ordered Riza to live and oversee that, but after giving it some more thought and a second read, I suppose that 1. With the High Priestess it must have been official, and official proceedings go with that, I guess and 2. Riza never would have allowed it

Impressive progress for an hour and a half, nonetheless. Quality had not diminished visibly at all, don't worry about it.

I didn't know that the fanbase didn't care much for Riza? From what I've seen people, me included haha, list her as tied for first with Roy for their favorite character, or at least second. Maybe you're looking in the wrong places, but there is a fair number of people who care!

More importantly, it's great to see you back! Looking forward to In Pursuit of Reason as well.

"Roy Mustang spends his dying moments worshipping the woman who followed him for years". I feel cold hearted for not having cried, but I think I was too shocked for it. My heart was in pieces before I could even register it. As a fan of angst, I sometimes imagine one of them dying, but BOTH of them dying together in a dramatic moment like this threw my ideas into space. This story was like ultimate royai. Roy and Riza getting together only in death, because their love and constant loyalty bonded them to a point only demise would make them realize the need they had for each other.

The imagery was so well done that when Riza died, the picture of her there, staring at the blue sky, eyes glassy and lips slightly parted as in a unfinished breath and half small smile or something will be forever engraved into my mind. And for her to die first was so well thought. And to think Roy thought that would be the day they would be finally together. (I panicked when Riza died. Even though it was obvious it was going to happen ;_;)

God, it's late here in my place, and when I decided to innocently look for some fics, I wasn't expecting such burst of emotion into one single story. This piece was beautiful, beautiful. Simply perfect. I loved how their years of bottled emotions were conveyed into one simple kiss. Also, the moment was so well developed that it didn't even need much explanation as to what happened. A brilliant stand alone of their deaths. It even looked like a rebirth because they finally 'revealed' their feelings. Amazing work. Thank you for the story. *favoriting this forever*

I agree with what you said at the end. In my opinion, if and when soldiers are tried for their crimes in the war, I would like to believe that Roy would somehow take the blame for Riza or ask for her not be tried or given a harsh sentence like death. I don't know. Many it's cliche for me to think that, but it's like you said, I think Roy blames himself for sort of ruining her and her future.

Anyway, the story was brilliant as always when it's written by you. I'm so very glad to see that you're alright and back into the writing business. I hope you're well.
