| Photogirl1890 chapter 1 . 1/12
I doubt I'm ever going to be sold on the idea of "J/P" having happened, but if anyone's writing is going to convince me, it'll likely be yours. All that aside, this was a beautifully-written handing over of the torch story. I'm particularly taken with the lines about the BS, and as so often in your writing, the closing paragraphs are absolute gems.
Reading chronologically, I'm nearly running out of your work... Good job the next two are long.
| skadoo chapter 1 . 1/4
Great story and well done. I always love walking back into your universe of stories. Thank you.
| son-of-heaven176 chapter 1 . 11/15/2013
Nice personal touch. And reading the stories in "chronological" order, one could not tell that they were written out of sequence (aside from the paragraphing errors). Good work, as usual.
| Singing Violin chapter 1 . 8/6/2013
Wow...in just two years he's gone from lieutenant to captain of Voyager? That seems really fast...of course he didn't have a chance to get used to "Commander" - he was only a commander for a blink of an eye! But I love the interaction between these two. They make a good team, and good friends.
| jamelia116 chapter 1 . 8/5/2013
Lovely, as always. As much as I like the interchanges between Kathryn and Tom, I think their impressions of the ship "in the moonlight" the best.
| screaming-madman chapter 1 . 7/26/2013
| Vice Admiral Kathryn Janeway chapter 1 . 3/26/2013
'Fly for him, Voyager.'
That gets me every freaking time, right in the feels.
I just love this story so very much.
| Moonlitfaith chapter 1 . 1/3/2013
Thank you again! Especially for tying your "threshold" piece back in to your post endgame world. I have yet to be disappointed by your writing- inspired is more like it. And yeah please know that isn't bullshit or wisdom :)
| ME chapter 1 . 5/4/2012
| PinkAngel17 chapter 1 . 2/13/2012
Awww, that was beautiful! So perfectly in character and filled with so much emotion. It was great! :)
| quantumsilver chapter 1 . 1/16/2012
Beautiful. I'm not sure when it turned from interesting to that, but at some point in there, it did. You did wonderful things with the human emotion of jealousy and conquering it, in so many different forms. It was almost like this is Voyager without the cookie cutter borders and lines that were impressed on us by canon.
Very well done. Definitely one that gives the reader psychological food for thought!
| TheNaggingCube chapter 1 . 12/12/2011
stupid blurry monitor
| QuasiOuster chapter 1 . 7/23/2011
This is a nice companion for Questions. Again, perfectly moody with dips and swells in all the right places. The relationship that you explore between the two of them in the context of their relationship with Voyager is interestingly unconventional, but not unnatural. And it's also heavy but I like feeling that weight. On top of that the story is just beautifully written. Well done.
| ancientmaverick chapter 1 . 7/17/2011
I like very much.
It's just such a cool moment! The old Captain handing over the reigns? Nicely done.
And what do you know? I'm actually reading this in my own home. Feels weird.
| Runawaymetaphor chapter 1 . 7/8/2011
So after two weeks and ten (eleven?) re-reads, I've decided my favorite passage is: "...although her hull showed a few places where dents and battle scars had been visibly mended, her solid nacelles bore testimony to a resilience and indomitable spirit that set her apart from the Fleet. She seemed almost inclined to thumbing her strong nose at the square Academy buildings that surrounded her, challenging their assumptions with a personality born of adversity and irreverence that was uniquely her own."
No doubt an echo of her new captain. But also makes me think of a woman who once messaged me, a month and two weeks after her first story went live.
