Gumnut chapter 1 . 9/29/2018 Awww. Loves. But then I'm a Virgilphile :D he never shouts about his stuff, but he achieves so much. Thank you for this lovely introspective piece. Nutty (loves all things Virg :D) |
Bow Echo chapter 1 . 8/17/2017 Wow...you have silenced the hormones ..tempting though it is to wonder what other uses those dexterous and confident hands could get up to, I am gonna fight my childlike impulses every inch of the way with this one! Beacause this is a thing of beauty in very few words, you have captured the man, his motivations, his inter brother relationships. The man is still wondered about by others too, silently, stealthily if you meet this man he will captivate you. A man of modesty and raw talent (tempted again, but no fully resolved to be sensible) a man to be trusted. A technical mind which allows space for an artistic side. An all rounder, the Ying to Scott's Yang (damn it so very nearly failed and went off on a tangent.. STOP! This is all Virg get back Scott Tracy, get back!) This is Virgil and you make him a man to love, a man you can rely on and I feel like I know him so much better after reading your 500 words. Just bloody amazing. Phew did it! Well nearly... those hands could tinker with me any day and Scott's yang ...yes please... Sorry sorry, sorry just couldn't do it. ;-) x |
LiseLore chapter 1 . 2/10/2013 I liked this one ! :D Loved the Scott/Virg line. And I can imagine Virg just being like this ! :D |
LiberinHawk chapter 1 . 6/15/2012 Love this its just so perfectly totally Virgil. Can actually visualise this all happening as he disappears from the technological world. Well done |
Xenitha chapter 1 . 4/15/2012 Ah, Teobi, this is a nice story. You've caught Virgil very well, down to the deliberate personality. |
Darkflame's Pyre chapter 1 . 4/8/2012 Awww! That's our Virge! And Jo has been there for every single chapter of Bound. She's just awesome! Xx |
Agent Nova chapter 1 . 3/20/2012 Wow, I think I've just fallen head-over-heals in love with Virgil... again. Fantastic. Sue |
TBMom chapter 1 . 11/5/2011 Very good story - made favorites list. |
LiGi chapter 1 . 10/11/2011 Heyhey! It's me, I'm back! I didn't realise how long I'd been gone, but this is on page six! :O I've missed six whole pages of stuff! I love this little look at what makes Virgil well, Virgil! The fact that he is the only person surprised when he graduates with honours, and how he spent his childhood building things and not setting anything on fire like Gordon would! I absolutely adore the description of his hands... And Scotty saying he is so focused you could throw a bomb at him and he wouldn't notice. Nice, Scott! - If Scott was speed, then Virgil was endurance. - You do know what my dirty mind has done to this sentence, don't you! And then the ending with the principal of Denver seeing Thunderbird Two and thinking of Virgy... aww, I love it! FAB little story Teobi, I love it and I'm sorry it took me this long to finally read it! Shall now go and find what else you have published while I was away! LiGi xxx |
HappyDanceAnnie chapter 1 . 7/23/2011 Dear Teobi This is just wonderful. I have been a Virgil fan now for over forty years (I fell in love with him when I was only four - hey, he had THAT voice and he played the piano and painted. What more could a four year old want!) Like Wingspan, this piece highlights how bloody skilled you are with short stories. The hardest ones to make an impact with. But you have done it in spades. Too many writers define him by the arts and his 'bird. They forget that he is a master engineer. They are BORN not made. Thank you for reminding/informing the fandom of that. Hah! I see Virg as the Rube Goldberg of the Tracy family, bugger Gordon's practical jokes 8-) I loved the description of his hands. I have only realised the other day, as I was talking to my (now elderly, sick and frail) father how much people's hands define who they are. Dad has very distinct hands. He has always worked with his hands. They have a very strong shape, square and blunt. These are hands that have built houses, driven trucks, thrown hay bails and helped calves into the world. Now I look at these self same hands, and see them old, frail, worn. But they are still those distinctive hands. They tell me of his life, and I will never forget them. Thank you for the gift of helping me **see** Virgil's hands. |
Fran L chapter 1 . 7/12/2011 Hooray for more Teobi-fics! I am seriously annoyed at the RL BS that kept me so long from reading. Screw your, RL! Ah mate, you're so good at this :) Virgil does get weirdly overlooked, considering that he's such a rich character. It's about time he got some thorough attention. Heh. I love the focus on his hands - I have sometimes wondered about those hands, and you looked at them so lovingly as an extension of his personality, it was like I could see them in front of me. If only :P I LOVE that TB2 reminded the principal of V! It was a gorgeous little touch that again says something about who V is that TB2 would be so 'him' :) Mr Speed and Mr Endurance fried my brain too! *fans self* Oh my! Yesplzthx... You're so good at getting under their skin a wee bit and showing us more of who they are, in ways that seem so subtle and genuine. I hope for lots more Virgil-fics, because you seem to know him v well :) Great job, I loved it! |
Silver Bee chapter 1 . 6/28/2011 And this is why Virgil’s my favourite! You captured him perfectly – this really was Virgil in words. A thoughtful, well-crafted piece of writing. Loved it! Bee |
nurselaur84 chapter 1 . 6/27/2011 I don't normally write reviews but I felt like this little gem deserved one. I managed to really get into virgil's head and I just loved the ending it brought a tear to my eye. A great piece of writing that was a pleasure to read! ( maybe that's a little biased as I'm a Virgil fan!) Laur x |
Elsa Jay chapter 1 . 6/27/2011 This is so totally Virgil, not even Jeff could describe him better. "He will go far, they said. He has vision." If only they knew and quiet unassuming Virgil is certainly not about to tell them. A poignant and beautiful ending, love it. Thanks for sharing |
TB's LMC chapter 1 . 6/27/2011 Wow. Just...incredible. This is a beautiful piece of work. The perfect amount of description, nothing that was unnecessary and yet you conveyed such a complete picture of Virgil that I felt like I was really and truly seeing him as the real him for the first time. I have to admit I choked up on the last paragraph, because I could see Virgil doing that and after reading everything, and knowing (as we do) what *really* happened to Virgil, it was such a beautiful and poignant moment that you got me. You nailed it. Well done! |
