| That Girl Six chapter 1 . 7/9/2011
Hey there, Beautiful!
So I'm terrible at leaving reviews, but I'm going to try. Feel free to tell me I'm nutty.
- Grandma misses you, Grandpa. I miss you, too."
Aw, I love this. I love that Gordon's first thought isn't of himself, but of Grandma. You're telling us so much about him (that he isn't quiet, that he knows he should be in trouble), but the stuff you leave out says so much more. He's thoughtful of other people; he's willing to brave The Chair as long as he gets to tell Grandpa how he's missed. I like that those are things he would never think to think of himself. Nicely done!
- He started to feel a bit angry as he came to the conclusion that he was being ignored.
Oh, baby! Can I just hug the kid now? *sads*
- I reckon you had a lot to show me and now you won't ever get to do it.
Isn't that always the worst part? So simple, and yet ...
- The familiar weigh lifted off of Gordon's shoulders. "I love you, Grandpa."
And now I'm all wibbly.
Nicely done! I haven't seen much of Grandpa, so it was fun to see him, even if he was as much part of Gordon's heart as he was there. I love how honest this is; I know I've done the same thing (sans puppy) any time I've missed my grandpa, too. As sad as it is, it's comforting, too. This was the perfect thing to fall asleep to tonight. Very nice!

Thank you, Sam! That was lovely and wonderful. Just the thing to lift my spirits, and everyone else's. :)

This was lovely. Poor Gordon, he’s usually so cheery that it’s quite upsetting to see him in a state like this.
Funnily enough I’ve been thinking about my own grandfather a lot lately, so this story came at the perfect time for me.
Loved it. Bee

One thing I love about Johnny is his penchant for having 'one heck of a temper'. How I'd love to see the icy fury flashing in those baby blues, haha. *Meep*
Awwwwwww...little Gordon crying is a pathetic sight. Tears dripping off his chin and having conversations with his Grandpa (who's no longer with us). Just...awwwwwww! O.o
"I reckon Johnny ain't the only moody one in the family."- No, but he's the best at it. Plus, he whines 'cause he can't read when he's sick!
"I'm in a right mess now, Grandpa."- I love it! Not that he's in a mess, obviously. Just the way he says it.
Love how Wolfie can see Grandpa, but even Gordon knows he's there because he felt the one-arm hug around his shoulders.
You know the Tracy boys would have had big ol' boisterous dogs when they were kids. Imagine the mud that got tracked through their house on rainy days!
Lovely story, Sam1. Cheers!

aww that was so sweet. It's really good to see a story where it their Grandpa talking to one of them instead of their Mom. I love the way it connects with your other one too. Very sweet and Gordy was just too cute for words.

Awesome oneshot my friend. Kind of gave me the chills when grandpa actually let Gordon know he was there...and for Wolfie to be able to see him...fantastic!

SQUEE! *runs around doing a happy dance for a new Sam story* Okay, I shall be calm and review this like a sane person *sits back down*
*snicker* Gordy's reckoning again...uh oh...
In all seriousness, this is truly beautiful! His insistence that he has to be big and brave like his brothers was truly touching, and yet inside, he is just a lonely little boy wanting his Grandpa. His frustration at feeling left out and then being ignored was truly gorgeous. And then when he couldn't keep the tears in any more, but his Grandpa was there for him! Aww, this was just so gorgeous, it really caught his sheer emotions! Loved it!
