| Aelineth chapter 1 . 5/8/2012
Very well written indeed! I am sad to see that there are but few stories of Gilraen, as most stories of Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli and the sons of Elrond consist of slash, much to my great disappointment. I am glad you wrote this story, I really do love it :)
| Deandra chapter 1 . 6/30/2011
Very nice depiction of how the new name may have come to be. Lovely mother/son relation shown.
| Virtuella chapter 1 . 6/30/2011
I like it that the idea for the name is based on Gilraen's thoughts, rather than just on Elrond's reasoning. After all, he has no relationship with the child yet.
| Frodo's sister chapter 1 . 6/29/2011
I like this story.
| The Pearl Maiden chapter 1 . 6/29/2011
Very sweet! :)
| Darkover chapter 1 . 6/29/2011
Dear Linda: The dialogue of this story is very well written, and IMHO you did a fine job of characterization as well. Elrond seems dignified, noble, and kind, just as Tolkien led us to expect of him. Gilraen you portrayed very convincingly: mourning her late husband, but concerned about her young son. I liked the way this story ended-the last line was particularly good. Thank you for writing and posting this. Sincerely, Darkover
