lovely stuff, this, and very true. self-esteem in a situation like Faramir's is a delicate thing, and it requires frequent reassurance to maintain whatever strength it's gained through the various relationships of its owner. while the rest of us may think "how could anybody not love Fararmir?", his mindset would be just the opposite. i'm with Aragorn in his anger toward Denethor. how little such people know or care what life-long affects their words and actions have on those they're supposed to care for... *sigh* and too little, too late in Denethor's case, too. yay for Eowyn _ her own self-esteem has taken a beating now and then, so she knows how he feels, and doesn't think it a chore (as some would) to give him that reassurance
Darkover chapter 1 . 12/19/2011
Dear IHeartSam: A beautiful story, beautifully written, that speaks to everyone who has ever doubted that they were loved (which is probably a lot of people.) I liked the part in which Aragorn demonstrated his concern and friendship for his new Steward, and I loved the part in which Eowyn assured Faramir of her love for him. Well done. Thanks for writing and posting this. Sincerely, Darkover
Aki no Ryu chapter 1 . 10/19/2011
Cuuute! I liked the ending. Typo: whole instead of "hole" in "suddenly he felt hole again."

This was absolutely adorable!
Deandra chapter 1 . 7/9/2011
Very sweet glimpse of what Faramir might have felt before Eowyn reassured him.

One typo: and suddenly he felt hole again - should be "whole" (and interesting that the error gives exactly the opposite meaning here!)
