Hey! I just wanted to tell you how much I am enjoying this story so far. I started reading this this morning and have been hooked to it. Also, today is Fanfic Writer Appreciation Day. I'm loving Roxanne and the plot of this rare item found in the mountain and how the fireworks over jumps was how it was uncovered. I can't wait to see how this ends.

Whew, finished. What a ride! It's really cool that you were able to complete this, especially since the writing spanned a few years.

I think the first thing I noticed about this is, and I've probably mentioned it before, the way you integrated game elements into the story. Every time the Life Suits and boosters and M-comms and glove controls became part of the setting and also the direct plot, it made the entire experience more awesome. You really, really know these games, and I think that makes the story stronger. A-gosh-dang-plus.

Honestly- and don't take my ideas too seriously, because I've never attempted a piece of writing even close to this scale- I think the dialogue is kind of hit-and-miss. With speech especially, it really helps to look over each line and think, 'Would a person really say that?' Those words, specifically, in that order. I bring it up because dialogue has the potential to seem really cheesy sometimes, since it's a part of the writing that pretty much looks exactly the same in type as you hear it in your head.

Since you asked about the ending, I'll mention that I really liked it... mostly. I think the villain of the last couple chapters was kind of James-Bond-ish, and not in a great way. I don't know, I think the big-bad trying to trap our heroes, revealing that he's someone else, only after money... it's kind of been done before, you know?

But every other element of the ending, I loved. The epic events (no spoilers for people reading reviews) of the last two or three chapters really are epic, and I think Roxanne's story comes through in a great way. Seeing all the other riders react to stuff is great, too, especially the funnier ones- Viggo being clueless, Zoe being snarky, and Psymon being PSYMON.

And holy cow, I need to mention this before I forget- the plot itself. Roxanne's background, the SSX tournament, the mystery that's slowly being discovered... in my opinion, it's all awesome. You made each race exciting, every character interaction interesting, and every time a scene moved into another one, there was a real sense of 'Oh, cool, this is gonna be great!' I don't know how to explain it, exactly, but the plot was really fun.

I know this isn't the most coherent review ever, but I hope it makes some sense. And congrats again on finishing a story this major. I really loved it.

I don't think you can properly describe an SSX track any other way.

Sick burn. I don't know if that was intentional, but I think that's the way a lot of people felt about the On Tour game. Nice.

Anyway, I'm still around. Still amazed by how many details from the games you're weaving into the story. Still interested in Roxanne's mystery backstory. Still reading at a snail's pace, for some reason- I'll try to step it up.

And the first race was awesome. I really liked the combination of Roxanne's viewpoint and other elements, like Ash over the radio and the trackers for the other racers.

Okay, I know I'm way behind on my reading since I'm only on chapter 5, but I want to say again. The way you work game mechanics into this story is awesome, particularly the Boost idea and explanation of how tricks factor into the competitions.

Also, Eddie is wonderful.

Wow, this is- wow. I didn't know where you were going with this in the first chapter, but now?

Roxanne and the way you wrote her is very, very impressive, and the tempo you've set is very intriguing and extremely tempting. Not many readers would walk away at this point. I know I'm not going to.

All in all, awesome first two, looking forward to the rest.

I probably won't have time to review every chapter of this story, but I'm hooked.

The character seems interesting (I'm sure there will be more on this person in the next few chapters) but these nods to the games are awesome. I've never even considered how uber tricks would work in real life, and the sensors on the gloves are a stroke of genius.

Also, shout-out to the fact that position markers kinda spazzed out sometimes, even in the later games.

Ugh, I am seriously going to miss reading this once it's over! I mean, yeah I can always re-reading but it just won't be the same. :c This is amazing Fanatic, I'm really glad you took your time with this story and everything that comes with it: character development, interaction, plot, and most importantly - timing.

And holy cow 110,000?! Well done! I can't wait for the next update. I'm the type who doesn't really like OCs of any fandom, but Roxanna is surely the exception. She's probably the only OC I'll like to see in future SSX games. She totally rocks!

I'm sorry but I just had to re-review after I had finished reading it. This story is incredible so far. Loving every moment of it. I love how you have implemented so many Tricky characters, as well as subtle touches of MacXKaori, MobyXZoe and included a very well thought out statement from Kaori about how people need to realize that she has grown up. The plot is SO WELL THOUGHT OUT and the race chapters are adrenaline filled and fun to read. I don't mean to sound like a suck up, but my respect for you as an author, an SSX fan and basically a user on this site has risen higher than anything I ever expected anyone to achieve.

You should be very, very proud of yourself. I plan to read anything else you may write.

Really good story, you've really developed the character of Roxanne well. I also really like her interactions with Elise and the other contestants. I think that this story could honestly be one of the best ones I've read in the SSX category.

Okay, WOW. Fanatic (is it okay if I still call you that?) I wanted to wait until the latest chapter to review but I just HAD to review now.

Uh, WHOA. My mind is blown here! What you did to the classic characters left me speechless. The 'tear-jerkers' were great. The moments regrading the fans and how much they've changed amazed me, mainly because of how well written they were but also how there's so much reality to them. I have to admit though, I'll wish you would have mention Psymon's On Tour change; like the fling with Allegra and how he become a crybaby when he got dumped after words. However, this was truly written so so beautifully. The little confrontation between Roxanne and Allegra in the previous chapter was so intense! I absolutely loved it.

And yes, everything came to a massive surprise Fanatic. Everything. I'm literally at the edge of my seat here. This is probably the best SSX fanfic out there. Even with a OC in, it's really something special. :)

So now I really am interested in the story! I'll be honest and admit I haven't read through most of it, but this chapter was just so phenomenally written, it's easy for me to visually capture the situation the character are dealing with.

I really want to see 'Roxanne's' secret is, but I'm not even going to look back so I can anticipate the secret and go "NO WAY!" along with the other characters ;3

I see 'Roxanne' is now a candidate in the running for most psychotic character (Sorry Psymon...maybe next time). You made 'Roxanne' probably one of my favourite characters in the SSX Universe, and considering there's a lot of characters I love in there (Marisol, Seeiah, Mac, Brodi, Elise and all of the female guest characters in the original SSX game), that's quite the superb accomplishment.

Well done, and keep up the great work!

Hey. Probably a little late with this, but I love how you included the Guest Characters for the original SSX game (such as Macy, Saskia, Polly, Molly, Ruby, etc.)

You managed to give them each a personality and made sure they each had an effect on the reader. You did a superb job in my eyes :)

The only thing I will critique you on is that Macy is actually a girl. The guy you're referring to in Macy's picture is actually Jurgen, who was a character for SSX and a cheat character for SSX 3.
