Reviews for A Harry Situation |

![]() ![]() ![]() I do agree Rowling has done some greAAt resarch.. for instance Nicholase Flamel was a real alcamist from France. Keep going I Can't wait to see if you use the guardians. Also How long until Harry might get away from ther Dursleys. You might check out my storiy am ny theory on protection spells with Harry. |
![]() ![]() Sorry I missed the last chapter. I was out of town. This is spectacular as usual. I always love it when you post another chapter. It's my morning's entertainment as I wait for school to begin. I'm looking forward with great anticipation to Harry's new prank on Sirius. You have also created a wonderful character in Arabella Figg. Will there be a return of the Weasleys soon? |
![]() ![]() ![]() I simply love this story, especially the interaction between Hermione and her parents. As for Dumbledore, he's always wonderful and I think he's a bit of a flirt as well. That twinkle in his eye has always said so to me. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Love the lion saying, quite appropriate for Hermione's parents (and Gryffindor's). I do love Hermione's parents they are both fun and strong, like Hermione. Like the watch outs, pretty cool name. Yet another great chapter. But dare I ask what about Harry's trunk :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() your fic is awezome... Please keep writing... |
![]() ![]() ![]() great chapter... what will hermione do if her parents are attacked when she is around... she cant have a watch? |
![]() ![]() When are you going to get to some serious h/g? Please |
![]() ![]() If we go by the movies, then there are color pictures. (Except in the Daily Prophet, but that was black and white for the same reason that muggle papers use black and white photos in the daily editions. It's cheaper. But who wants to go by the movies anyways? The only real improvement in the first one was Oliver's tale of his first quidditch match.) The Watch Outs are a nifty idea. I like the name of Hermione's uncle. Tell me, by any chance, is her aunt's name Bonnie? All in all, a lovely chapter. Now, GET TO THE BLOODY TRUNK! |
![]() ![]() ![]() 'Watch Outs'? ::flinchs:: Ouch, you punned. then again his item in the first book was what... the 'Put Outter'? For the lights on Privit Drive. So it is in character for Dumbledore isn't it? LoL |
![]() ![]() ![]() *blinks* Intellectual conversation about mythology and the trials and tribulations of past heroes between Hermione and Dumbledore. Thats something you don't see everyday among the thousands of Hrry/G, R/Hrm, etc sappy love stories. Good for you! And eat another cookie. Now, a moment of silence please for Mr. Rogers and his neighborhood, who will never feed his fish again.:( Poor Mr. Rogers.. erm, sorry. Off subject. Update. Now. Bye. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I'm so glad you're updating so frequently lately - how many more chapters do you expect the story to have? Lots I hope! It was good to see Dumbledore arrive at the Grangers at last and it was funny that he was charming enough to have even practical Emma Granger blushing! His interaction with Hermione was lovely too, especially because we don't ever see that in the books – I’ve always thought the two of them would get on well. The idea that wizarding photographs were all in black and white was an interesting one. Is that taken from the book, or something you came up with? I agree with you that it's very likely though, because for all their abilities beyond Muggles, they still seem very behind when it comes to a lot of the technologies we take for granted. I think the Muggle-borns are probably the best off actually having a foot in both worlds – if it wasn’t for the prejudice they face of course. It was very touching how Hermione worked her way round to discussing what was worrying her with Dumbledore. "She walked over to her bookcase as she continued her depressing catalog. “The whole Roundtable couldn’t save Arthur. Most of the Fianna died violently. Roland dies in battle. The city of Troy is destroyed, and the Greeks didn’t get happy endings, either. I mean, Odysseus finally managed to get home, but none of his crew did. And… I don’t want Harry to die." It was very in character for her, starting off where she was most comfortable with literary examples, before getting to the crux of the problem. It was a nice touch finishing the chapter with how Perseus and Gilgamesh died - maybe there's hope for Harry yet on his hero’s quest! You're welcome for the info on Bonfire Night. I did wonder at the time if you perhaps knew where Fawkes had got his name, but just not realised that Bonfire Night and Guy Fawkes Night were the same thing. There really should be an appendix at the back of the book telling people outside of Britain those types of things - it's a shame not to know after Rowling's spent so much time and effort on the little details! Well, wonderful as always and I hope to see chapter *14* (you superstitious thing you!) up soon - I'm looking forward to finding out what Harry's revenge will be. Oh and I hope you haven't forgotten about that chest! |
![]() ![]() I thought that Wizarding photographs were colored. J.K. Rowing did not mention much about them I don't think, but in the movie, the photographs were colored. (The movie could have made a mistake though.) Anyway, thanks for another great chapter! I am really looking forward to the next one. (What did you mean when you said that there wouldn't be a chapter thirteen? What happened to it?) It is good to hear that chapter fourteen is almost done. Will Dumbledore really suggest for Professor McGonagall to challenge Ron to a chess match? That would be interesting. By the way, are you just going to write about Harry's summer, or are you planning to write about his fifth year as well? So anyway, the story is coming along great, and there's still plenty of suspense. Can't wait to find out what's in the trunk! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Very interesting! I like this one! Write more please! :D |
![]() ![]() ![]() Yay! Okay . Let's see. That was a long conversation with Dumbledore, and a LOT of heroes died. Didn't realize there were so many. Harry obviously does live to his fifteenth birthday (unless J.K. plans on titling her sixth and seventh books The Late Harry Potter's Friends' Exciting Adventures As They Avenge His Death By Defeating Voldemort) but I notice that no one reassures him that he will definitely live. And Herm does have a point with the blaming-yourslef thing. |
![]() ![]() I really enjoyed your story. The multiple points of view, bond between Ginny and Ron, and ingignance(right word?) on Harry's part about his feelings toward Ginny really sold the story. Not to mention, that you did not forget the trip to Bulgaria as many authors did. By the way. I love Pixie. Well, toodlez. I'm anxiously awaiting more. |
